Brandon W.K. Wolff is an American mixed martial artist and former Navy SEAL. He has a twin brother, Brenton, who has followed an identical career path. He is the current X-1 Welterweight Champion, which he became by defeating UFC veteran Chad Reiner.
Brandon made his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut in 2008 at UFC Fight Night 16: UFC Fight for the Troops, where he suffered a TKO (Knees) loss to Ben Saunders.
His name first came onto the MMA scene when The Ultimate Fighter alumni War Machine, born John Koppenhaver, would not fight him, even though Joe Silva, the UFC's matchmaker, planned for the two to meet. Koppenhaver said that fighting Wolff would not benefit him in the least since he had no name recognition.
After two consecutive losses in the UFC, at the hands of Ben Saunders and Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Wolff was released by the promotion. Wolff was then scheduled to face Thomas "Wildman" Denny at Call To Arms 2, for his first bout since leaving the UFC, but had to pull out due to injury. Joe Cronin replaced him.
Wolff finally returned to action at X-1 Nationals Collide on June 4, 2010 against submission stylist Dylan Clay. The fight was for the vacant X-1 Welterweight Championship - the title that he vacated when he went off to compete in the UFC. Clay submitted Wolff with a Kimura late into the third round, handing Wolff his third straight loss.
