Sinosic Perosh Martial Arts Academy

Perosh runs Sinosic Perosh Martial Arts (SPMA), with his business and training partner Elvis Sinosic, a martial arts school located in Sydney, Australia teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts, Wrestling and Yoga.

Mixed Martial Arts Career

Perosh made his professional MMA debut on November 29, 2003 by defeating three opponents to win the Australian-based Spartan Reality Fight 8 Tournament. Following his debut, Perosh went on two win two of his next three fights in his native Australia and was then invited to compete in the UFC.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Perosh made his UFC debut against Jeff Monson at UFC 61: Bitter Rivals. With both Monson and Perosh's jiu jitsu skills being cancelled out, the fight saw Monson instead win by TKO.

His next fight came against Christian Wellisch at UFC 66: Liddell vs. Ortiz 2 in a bloody brawl that saw both fighters knock each other down along with Perosh earning more takedowns while Wellisch landed more strikes. The judges gave the unanimous decision to Wellisch. Perosh was cut from the UFC following the fight.

CFC Light Heavyweight Tournament

Perosh was a participant in the CFC Light Heavyweight Championship Grand Prix.

On May 22, 2009 Anthony won the quarter-final match against Nate Carey at CFC 8. He also won the semi-final match against Dave Frendin at CFC 9 on July 11, 2009. On August 21, 2009, Perosh was defeated by James Te Huna in the finals, at CFC 10.

Return to UFC

When Ben Rothwell was forced out of his UFC fight with Croatian striker Mirko Filipovic on February 20, 2010 at UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez, in Australia, only two days before the fight, Perosh, an Australian native replaced him in a heavyweight batte.

Doctors called an end to the fight with Crocop at the end of the second round, as Perosh was bleeding from a cut sustained midway through the 2nd round by a vicious elbow from his opponent. Although he lost, Perosh was given a four-fight contract with the UFC.

On March 27, 2010, Perosh announced he would be undergoing knee surgery in the coming weeks, and that his next fight in the UFC would take place some time in September 2010.

In his UFC light-heavyweight debut at UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch, Perosh quickly defeated Tom Blackledge to finally capture his first win in the UFC. He won the fight by rear-naked choke at 2:45 of the first round in front of his home town crowd in Sydney.

Perosh was scheduled to face Krzysztof Soszynski on June 11, 2011 at UFC 131: Dos Santos vs. Carwin. Perosh was forced from the bout, however, with an eye injury and was replaced by Igor Pokrajac.

On November 5, 2011 at UFC 138: Leben vs. Munoz Perosh defeated Cyrille Diabate via rear naked choke submission at 3:09 of round two to gain his second UFC win.

Perosh next faced promotional newcomer Nick Penner on March 3, 2012 at UFC on FX 2: Alves vs. Kampmann. Perosh won the fight via TKO in the first round.

Perosh faced Ryan Jimmo on 21 July 2012 at UFC 149: Faber vs. Barao, losing via KO in 7 seconds.

Perosh was expected to face Joey Beltran on December 15, 2012 at UFC on FX 6: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson in Australia. Perosh was forced from the bout, however, with a toe injury and replaced by Igor Pokrajac.
