André Galvão is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who has competed for DREAM and took part in the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship 2007. Galvão won the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in 2005 (Middleweight), 2007 and 2008 (Medium-Heavyweight). André is currently contracted to fight for both Strikeforce and DREAM.
Announcing to his fans in November of 2009, Galvao stated that he would be making his Strikeforce debut in December 2009. The debut would not end up taking place in 2009, but instead it would take place on March 26, 2010 against Strikeforce veteran Luke Stewart. Stewart is coming off a decisive loss at the hands of Joe Riggs.
