Why the hell would his thread ever be personal. It simply wasn't posted in the right spot. Best thing to do is just PM a mod if you have questions or problems.

i posted a thread yesterday about how mods become mods to begin with and how it was done, and i cant find my thread anymore. was it removed or was it just moved and i can't find it anymore? i dont understand i wasnt bashing any mods i was just asking why because i noticed people were being modded around the time i came on here and i wanted to know if it was a monthly thing or if you have to be here a while etc. no one answered my questions and i cant find my thread anymore can someone help?

I looked in the mod logs to see who deleted your thread and it was actually my bad . I had a bunch of threads open in various tabs, and I meant to delete a repeat thread. Must have done yours instead.

To make it up, I'll answer your question.

It all depends. If there is a need for new mods, us administraters will sometimes ask mods to suggest candidates. Other times we'll think of them ourselves. Myself, I was originally suggested by a mod at the time because I was a regular contributor to the (now defunct) Sheep's Pen and rankings team. So members who are in good standing, aren't raging pricks and have been around a while are often considered.
