Why is Mike Goldberg still working?

Can anyone tell me why Mike is there still. I would love to see the Mauro Ranallo sitting in his spot. Has this been discussed? Someone please explain. What is the average time per event he gets corrected by Joe? If that is not happening he is just repeating the same stuff over and over again. Why is he still there!

Well I hate your opinion, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
And yea, I ask myself that question every day (Goldberg's employment). He obviously is there as a spokesman for the various Corn Nut products that line the UFC's pockets.
And no, nobody is interested in the meaningless facts Goldie spews mid-fight. They're just a distraction. Mute him.

If they wanted to get rid of him by now, they would have. Maybe they feel sorry for him because they know no one else would hire him. Or he has dirt on the Fertittas.

But Mauro... I stopped listening to his podcast due to exhaustion. I know he's bipolar but the guy uses fifty words when ten will do. The man is a walking run-on sentence. Anyone transcribing him would need carpal tunnel surgery. He tries hard, though.

i find ranallo very annoying. he's way worse than goldberg with his sayings and crap. by far the worst guy is gus johnson. frankly i'd rather here pat/frank/joe announcing.

Goldie's not so bad. He's kinda like the neighbors annoying dog that you used to barely tolerate and now is just kinda entertaining to make fun of.

Plus the chemistry between him and Joe is pretty good. no homo.
