Second of all, the judges don't create the "ambiguous criteria" you speak of, they interpret them. Yes they do make choices most people would disagree with fairly often but this is a much bigger problem then judges simply pulling ambiguous criteria out of their asses.

and lastly, what do you mean by fighters who show mercy and don't go for the kill. Are you referring to guys who lay and pray? or are you referring to guys who hurt their opponents but don't go for finish out of pity? if it's the latter (which is what your wording sounds like) i'd love some examples.

Also, personally i could care less about the production changing, the fighters creating or not creating animosity to sell fights and the whole "mma is becoming too entertainment based, it's not pure anymore" thing so long as the fights themselves are still good. If you don't like all the fluff then don't watch all the interviews and stick to only watching the fights. No one's forcing you to watch the press conference and read fighter tweets. Just buy the fucking pay per views or log on to linker on fight night, watch the fights and ignore everything else.

This for sure. Thread should now be closed, the Prosecution has more than proved their case. And why was this thread allowed in the first place?

quit whining, be happy that MMA's a sport and a thriving one at that. If u dont like it, u don't hafta watch, but I'm tired of all the whining about it like we have sum sort of alternative to turn to..Fedor's out the door, Barnett's good but he couldnt handle the top guys in the ufc, UFC has the best talent, nit pick and complain about it all you want but go to sum smaller organizations and alot of the fights are so sloppy and ugly but at least most UFC fights look like pro fighters not just two dudes who got into it inside a small fenced in yard

who has gsp beaten? seriously
sonnen couldnt beat silva on roids, thinks he can now? why?
etc.

When I read your OP here I thought... I like this guy. After this one, now I know I like you.

How funny, because I feel the complete opposite about the two of you now.

I second everything you said. Thanks for saving me a bunch of typing. Cain took a dive, are you serious or just mental? CroCop was nobodies puppet, he just aint that great anymore. And so on and so on... Mental.

I just realized that too. time2getreal, thats great. The only time I ever watched a ufc fight and said what the Fu#k was a while ago when Wanderlei knocked Chuck to the ground and started to go after him but stopped. Other than that I havent really seen anything to call into question. And yes it sucks sometimes the way gsp beats his opponents but he does, so good for him.
