Im kinda with King on this one. i dont know what the hate is for, especially when Lashley is actually respectful unlike most of the fake wrestlers that have come to MMA. he came honestly wantin to compete and work his way up.

lashley did the best he could. just because he was a pro wrestler before mma doesnt mean he shouldnt continue to pursue fighting. he hasnt fought any of the best fighters in the world. and he will never reach that level. but if a pro fighter is fighting and its a close fight then there is no need to criticize the his career choice based on his past profession. regardless of his skill level, if his fights are tough for him then he is being matched up with guys he should be facing. nothing too easy, nothing too impossible. i refuse to be one of these mindless automatons claiming i dont want him around just because its the cool thing to do.

im pretty sure lashley isnt the only mma fighter who's had a previous job. he has a 7-2 record and has been fighting since 2008. so as much as it bothers plenty of people, he's a professional mixed martial artist. and as much as people would rather not believe this...he seems to be taking mma serious. am i supposed to fault him for that?? the only criticism i have concerning his overall career choice is the fact that he started so late. i think he's 35 and thats just too late to make a real splash if you arent already well rounded in mma.

mma fans are so...so...whats the word im looking for?? anyway, they claim they want mma to get respect of other pro athletes and the public in general. yet when a pro athlete wants to compete, its customary to automatically want them out of the sport of mma. as if them saying "hey, i like mma enough to actually train and compete" is somehow disrespectful and not exactly the kind of positive recognition we all claim we want the sport to get.

stupid...thats the word im looking for. mma fans are so stupid.

Ya i think alot of the "MMA fans" are retarded as hell. They hate on anyone who came from a different career and not top of the line fighter. Unless a fighter got famous from PRIDE, its cool to just tell the fighter to FO and leave the sport.

As for the fight, I was not that impressed but lashely did improve his cardio since last fight.

Or hey he can become just another "Bob Sapp" getting paid to fight & lose.

most people had a career before fighting. I think the abuse comes being a pro wrestler, however, thats only part of it as Saku is well loved, Lesnar was respected enough. Also, k-1 guys don't get the hate when they transfer. Brett Rogers flipped tires, not much hate. It's got to be something else. Keep in mind, he was a soldier also, garnering respect, yet is still personally unliked by many. I wonder what it is? Racism maybe, nah. I think, maybe, ah, it doesn't matter what I think. That said, "GTFO Lashley" ;)

It's never too late if you're good enough, i mean look how far Shane carwin got, but I feel like he doesnt train with the best people ever,s o he will never be elite. He most likely already peaked. Who does he train with?
