There is absolutely no evidence that Shad would lose a rematch with Jones. He might lose then again he might not. Rashad had a terrible gameplan against Jones and it showed. Jones really didn't hurt Evans that much, he just did enough to outpoint him. Nothing wrong with that but I think Rashad has what it takes to beat Jones. Evans is fine where he is.

Na I dont think so brah, the whole story of that fight is Jon Jones is a more complete fighter than Rashad +bigger and just as strong

That still does not mean he should move to MW. Evans is a great fighter who has a chance to beat Jones in a rematch. Not saying he will, but he could. Also its not like Rashad has been dominated by everyone in the LHW division. Jones is a HW fighting in the LHW division. Its Jones who should move up, not Rashad move down.

Good points but if your goal is to become champion its the most logical choice

Pretty stupid since hes #2 in the LHW atm. Dropping weight doesnt make you a better fighter, just ask Kenflo.

NO!

The guy has had a good run, with a record of 15-2! WTH is all this?!
Seriously, no. Leave him at 205. He's a pretty stalky 205 at that.
You guys act like cutting weight is like drinking some magic potion and POOF! Drop a weight class!

Because he wouldn't be a "quick champ" at 185. If it was really that easy he would have done it already. Like King said, he'd have no speed advantage over Anderson, he'd gas in the later rounds because of the cut...it just wouldn't work well IMO.

I find it funny how people think the #2 guy in a division should just pack up and move

You cannot assume just because Evans lost to Jones once he can never beat him. Evans can beat Jones, but he didn't. If they had a rematch, who knows what could happen?

I hate Rashad with a passion but I disagree on all three. Assuming he utilizes his takedowns and ground and pound effectively like I know he can...I'd bet on Rashad in all 3.

He'd gas Shogun on the ground within 3 rounds....he'd probably do the same to Hendo honestly. Machida is the hardest fight for him stylistically but it's certainly winnable.

All three are good fights, but I wouldn't bet on Rashad in all three. Maybe only in the Hendo fight. Shogun and Machida would come with TD defense. And both are much more diverse and better strikers than Suga.

I just think there are more interesting fights for Rashad at 185. The cut would not be easy; but he's only 5'11; so his cut would be easier than it was for Vitor, who was 6'. Vitor is a consensus #2-3 rank in MW, while in LHW he would be more like 5-10, if that.

Dropping weight doesn't "make you a better fighter"; but it might make you more competitive size and strength wise; with wrestling being one of those factors. Could pose problems for Silva and the rest of the MW slate: Sonnen, Vitor, Okami, etc.

BJ fought Machida in an open weight and came in @ 187. If BJ can cut to make 55 Shad can cut to 85.

There are a lot more exciting fights for him in this weight class than at 205 in my opinion.

At 205 he would probably match up next with either Shogun or Machida. The UFC wouldn't put him against Gustafsson, as after Henderson, he would probably be next in line to fight Jones.

But at 185, he could really be in some exciting fights.

Makes a lot of sense to me, as if he was to fight Jones again, he would probably lose in an even worse manner.

RASHAD VS HENDO @ 185!!!!! or sonnen :)
