As previously reported, Roger Huerta will make is ONE FC debut on June 23rd, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “El Matador’s” opponent was announced late last night. It seems that after an unsuccessful debut at welterweight, the first fighter to make the cover of Sports Illustrated will continue his trek through the rankings of the 170 lb division as he faces Phil Baroni.

“The New York Bad Ass”, who has a fight scheduled against Chris Hollan on June 2nd, will be stepping into the cage after a mere three-week turnaround. The perennial combatant was last seen in the promotions debut show, losing a unanimous decision to Yoshiyuki Toshida.

Both warriors will look to make up for their recent wins with an impressive win in this featured bout.

ONE FC 4 will include:

Renato Sobral vs. Tatsuya Mizuno
Masakazu Imanari vs. Leandro Issa
Eddie Ng vs. Arnaud Lepont
Gregor Gracie vs. Adam Kayoom
Allamurad Karayev vs. Roldan Sangcha-an
Peter Davis vs. Quek Kim Hock
Marcos Escobar vs. Rodrigo Praxedes
Roger Huerta vs. Phil baroni
Mitch Chilson vs TBA

This is how MMA should be, you draw a friend for a fight - you fight them. I find it curious that Renato is on this same card though.. he disappeared there for a while.

I can't blame him for taking the time off. He got knocked out so terribly by Gegard and Hendo. Plus he had beaten Robbie Lawler. Talk about a tough fight schedule. Who do you got in his fight with Mizuno? I don't know much about Mizuno.

I'm guessing that Huerta wins his fight with Baroni. Huerta hasn't looked great as of late, but Baroni has looked horrendous.

That's true... Renato probably wanted to re-assess some things before coming back - may be even get tests done, who knows.

Roger will probably take the decision based on Phil gassing in the second to third rounds... though I don't think I have seen Roger fight at welterweight yet - looking forward to it. Hopefully, they stream this event as well as their last one for free.

lol in what world is Baroni going to weigh the same as Huerta

and in this world, is it possible Baroni lasts 2 minutes before gassing?

I think not. lol
Sigbet: Hunt (me) vs JDS (jojo)
Account bet: Anderson (Me) vs Weidman (biscuits69)
Now that we're gettin somewhere, you know we got to give back. For the youth is the future no doubt that's right and exact. Squeeze the juice out of all the suckers with power. And pour some back out, so as to water the flowers.

I like Huerta. Like his style, his demeanor, liked him when he knocked that dude out for hitting a chic on the street. Best of luck to him.
