Angle's been making lots of whacky claims since he left WWE. If Lesnar had signed I think they would have announced his signing at the PPV last night.

And I don't recall reading anything. I'm sure Lesnar is negotiating with them and might even be close to signing.

I'd love to see Angle or Lesnar, if not both in the octagon. It's a win/win situation. If 1 or both of them were to be humiliated by the likes of a Jeff Monson, or Jake O'Brien, the casual observer would realize that MMA competition isn't just about athleticism, or looking the part. On the flip side, if a Lesnar or Angle were to defeat someone like say Gabriel Gonzaga, or Frank Mir, it would draw the attention of the casual fan to MMA competition, & bring more media coverage to the best/fastest growng sport on the globe. And while purists can argue that Chuck Liddell's rockstar like ESPN exposure may have led to his recent underwhelming losses, I'll argue that exposure means interest, & interest means attracting better athletes to the mats. There was a time when the world's best athletes grew up wanting to be the next Ali, or Sugar Ray. Perhaps in the near future kids will grow up wanting to be the next Randy Couture, or B.J. Penn...

Not signed. And neither is Fedor.

http://msn.foxsports.com/boxing/story/7257288
In the post-fight press conference, UFC promoter Dana White said he was very confident of signing Fedor Emelianenko, but felt it wouldn't happen until after Emelianenko competes in a Russian sambo tournament in the fall.

White said it was incorrect the story, claimed by Kurt Angle, that Brock Lesnar had signed with UFC. But he did hope to make the deal.

Kurt Angle does not belong in the UFC. Angle stands no chance against Couture or Liddell. I can't think of any UFC fighter Angle would have a chance against!

This is the funniest thing I've read all afternoon. Sorry but Angle has no ropes to throw Couture or Liddell off.

Hopefully we'll get the chance to see in a year or two. Angle is stronger than practically all the UFC fighters and would be by far, THE best wrestler to ever enter the Octagon. The man isn't going to get nervous and he's intelligent enough to know to train so he doesn't gas.

NEWS FLASH! Whatever soap-opera-choreographed-doped-up-"wrestling" show Kurt Angle is on now in no way makes him an actual fighter.

If an actor plays a race car driver in a television show, he is not actually a race car driver. While Kurt was once a world class wrestler, and is probably the best candidate for such a transition, he still is not and has never been a fighter.

I would give any current mma fighter a huge advantage vs. a washed up, roided out, former legitimate athlete turned low-class entertainer.

People moving from fake wrestling to mma is going to do nothing but give young MMA fighters a high profile stepping stone until the fad wears off.

Kurt angle gave up wrestling for acting and body building long ago, too long ago in my estimation for him to ever be a serious MMA contender.

Lesnar already has some fights from some of the lesser promotions.
And is young enough to learn how to do one of the main styles
(striker, ground and pound, submission) type of fighting.

Angle is 45, has already major problems with his neck and
really is about 10 years too late to be credible for anything other
than a name and face for MMA.

I'd rather see Lesnar get signed by the UFC or even by the IFL than
Angle anyday of the week.

Looking at Kurt's difference in size from his WWE debut to his leaving WWE, I would not be surprised if he is "supplimenting". Lesnar on the other hand, is just naturally a monster.

I think Lesnar has a future in mma based on his size, strength and wrestling ability. Angle on the other hand is too old and beat up form his years of wrestling and age alone
I don't know if she can wrestle but I sure would like to see her box

Brock Lesner is scary looking, but is he up to fighting seasoned veteran's? Does anyone think so?

I don't think so personally. I think he will be explosive in the first couple of minutes wanting to prove himself, but with all that muscle and oxygen use requirements he will gas very quickly. An experienced fighter can withstand a 1 or 2 minute barrage.. probably in a clinch or something. Maybe he'll surprise us but.. well, Dana would be wise to feed him cans for awhile.
Your favorite fighter's favorite fighter is probably Fedor Emelianenko.
