Total War: Rome 2 was just announced, it looks like its going to be awsome doesnt come out till late 2013, but ow well, just means a more in depth game.

I had a buddy that loved the first one, but I really never played it. I was too immersed into Lineage 2 to play anything else at the point. I will probably try out the new one though as long as I don't have the life sucked out of me by another MMO.

So as it turns out, one of my friends gifted me a pre-ordered copy of CSGO on steam, which means I now have the CSGO beta. And oh boy is it glorious. I've been playing the fuck out of the beta and I enjoy the game quite a bit. My only real gripe so far is the recoil is a little too on the controllable side, at least for some weapons(I'm looking at you M4) but that isn't like a game-breaking deal or anything.

Oh and I guess I've heard some stuff about the movement(like bunny hopping) isn't quite where it should be, but I'm pretty mediocre at bhopping(I can do it, but I can't do it for really extended periods of time, like I can't lap dust2 like a billion times without missing a single beat) so I couldn't really put my finger on what was wrong.

Other than those two things, the game is pretty darn good.

Lucky mother fucker!! I guess I should go ahead and pre-order on steam this week. I really did not care about the recoil on the M4 due to the damage restriction on it, but if the recoil on the AK is minimal then that weapon will be extremely overpowered. With the M4 you have to at least get 3 shots to center mass for a kill, but with the AK it's only 1-2 depending on the location, and if the recoil is not an issue then the AK could be the dominate weapon in the game. Personally I like the M4 due to the silencer, and being able to off terrorist with out a sound, but if the recoil for all guns have been nerfed then I will totally be owning with the AK and Deagle.

Is the flash bang still as powerful as it was in the older versions? I always thought the flash bang was very powerful as you could disable an entire side of T/CT if you knew which bomb site they were rushing.

The AK is already pretty much the most dominate weapon in Counter Strike, both 1.6 and Source due to it's low price and 1 shot kill ability. In CSGO it'll still be a very powerful weapon, but it's had it's price increased. It's still noticably harder to control than the M4, but it still has that one shot ability(all headshots=death). Recently the AK was actually patched though, increasing it's recoil to make it less controllable.

In that same patch, Flashbangs also got a nerf. The duration of the flash has been decreased and it's pretty noticable. More so, it's currently capped at 1 flash per player(though apparently this can be changed through cvars). So far I've seen like 1 flashbang related kill in 6 hours of beta play time. I've actually been partially flashed and got a kill during it, which was apparently an achievement.

I'd say overall, they are clearly weaker, but still very useful The difference being, they aren't something you can abuse to kill an entire team, they are more something to stall out opponents(to slow rushes, fake rushes, etc)

Im a huge Total war fan, got everyone except medieveil 2 (that's a bitch to find in stores) Rome 1 was the best one i think, so that with new graphics engine etc is going to be fantastic

I now have a level 60 of every character in Diablo III. And I'm making some cash on the side.

This week I've made $15 just playing casually. It's definitely getting old though. I'm thinking about starting up WoW again next month when the expansion comes out just to see what it's like.
