By the time he comes over Diaz should have or be having his title shot presuming bendo/edgar doesnt get injured OR they do a triology thing.

Personally i think strikeforce makes more sense, maybe an opener against Josh Thompson then a shot at Melendez. Id rather have seen lombard put on a slow burner and had 2/3 fights before a title shot.

I can only really think of shields and lombard who have come in "touted" as no1 contenders only to choke but guys who have worked their way up seem to have some consistency

He would get KO'd by Guillard.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alvarez against anyone at 155 but Edgar would be interesting considering they train together and have similar styles. The only hesitation that I have with Alvarez is that he's been in so many wars and it looks like his chin is beginning to soften up. You could almost say the same for Frankie aside from his chin not showing the effects, yet.
That said, I think he would be better off fighting someone like Masvidal and then Melendez in a transition fight for the winner to the UFC. I think he defeats Melendez.

Btw, jojo...good try
I think this is how we first met. Without that our love would never have been. I'm getting sentimental here  sorry

I honestly would rather see him go to SF and fight Melendez. In the UFC I think Guillard would be an exciting fight. Tons of exciting fights for that division though.

Gil needs someone good to fight. Eddie vs gil is a great fight!
