It seems more obvious now than ever that none of these guys are going to be able to hang with Spider. So the move up is the only thing of interest.

I would say Bisping/Stann:

Bisping at least has some name recognition, and has been around enough to be somewhat deserving of a title shot. He sucks, but I think he has enough significant wins to put him in the mix.

I'd also like to see how Stann does against Silva; might be interesting.

Of course neither has a chance in hell, I would just rather see one of these guys fight Anderson over anyone else out there (except of course LHWs, but I've given up on that idea). Still not sold on Weidman -- he needs a couple more fights before I buy into the hype.

i just wanna see him beat up bisping.

i dont get why so many people want him to move up...well i get it but i dont see the sense in it.

if he moves up then not only will he be fighting heavier guys, but he'll be fighting heavier guys while he's pushing 40. there isnt anyone at 205 who can stand and strike with him (this includes Glover Teixeira) so you'll have a division of much heavier guys trying to lay on him for 5 rounds. and the only one with any good GnP is jones and they both say they're not interested in fighting each other.

there is nothing for him at 205 and nothing left for him at 185. right now he's just gonna keep taking the best MW's and making them look like children and when he finally retires people will realize just how good the MW's really are. and then whoever gets the belt will be said to be the guy who would have defeated silva....then silva will come out of retirement and beat him up badly. then retire again.

The UFC will always create a new number one contender for Anderson but let's be honest here. The division has nothing left to offer him and I'd rather see him end his career against dangerous opponents rather than default left overs or rematches. He has absolutely nothing left to prove at MW and there are much more intriguing fights for him at LHW win or lose.
Maybe Silva should just take some time off like GSP and hopefully this perception will change. Right now I have no interest in watching him fight guys like Bisping, Boetch or Wiedman.

for me, he finished his career after the 2nd sonnen fight. he's always been vocal about not wanting to go to 205. he only did it twice as favors for the UFC. there are plenty of dangerous fighters at MW but nobody who is really a threat to him. i'd do the same thing in his shoes....stay in the division.....break as many records as i can (that will be hard to match let alone top) and make as much money as i can before riding into the sunset. 8)

there are no MW title fights that interest me either....except i wanna see bisping get beat up.

Absolutely this. The only reason to watch Silva anymore is to watch him trample over guys. He's accomplished everything he needs to accomplish, and done everything there is to do. Whether he sticks around or not, I'm good with it.
