MW Division still F*CKED up *Spoiler*

Postby WandyCroCop » Sun Jul 22, 2012 5:54 pm

Well now we can't rely on Lombard to be the one for title contention, and honestly Boetsch doesn't deserve it either as BOTH of them looked like shit. This is how I have the contenders ranked

1. Weidman - Most impressive performance by far and has the skills and style to beat the champ
2. Belfort - He's been injured and has already lost to the champ, but he has a streak of his own boiling up and is an exciting fighter
3. Franklin - Hard to consider him a MW as he has been fighting at LHW and catch weights, but if he came down I could see them putting on Silva/Franklin 3 just to stall time so the division can figure shit out.
4. Belcher - Hasn't really beaten any top opponents, but he is on like a 3-4 fight win streak. I say he needs either one big win, or two solid wins to get the shot
5. Sonnen - Yes, he has had two chances and blew them both, but honestly I still rank him high. He has the style, skills, and character to be number 2, easily.
6. Bisping
7. Stann
8. Boetsch
9. Okami/Palhares Winner
10. Lombard

 No Weidman love? Even though he has head the BEST performance over a top 10 opponent then any of these fighters!? Damn!

 You even put Boetsch ahead of him! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!

Going by how Dana's talking about the performances. He hasn't mentioned Weidman very much, he's talked about Bisping/Stann winner possibly getting the next shot and he's really high on Boetsch right now.

God I hope he's not high on Boetsch. Both fighters looked pathetic.

If only Weidman/Munoz happened a few months earlier, he's just in bad timing to get another fight. Silva needs to fight some sometime at the end of this year, and Weidman needs an opponent.

To be honest I didnt think the Weidman fight was that exciting either, and Munoz looked way out of shape. Still better than Tim vs Hector, but i don't see either Tim or Weidman getting the shot I think it will go to the next top 5 guy to get an impressive victory. Who knows maybe Dana will draw the contender from a hat like he as been doing right up until the first Chael fight

I've always been in favor of the title-shot-in-a-hat idea. Anderson Silva vs.... Ryan Jensen, perfect!!

I'd like to see Weidman vs. Bisping/Stann Winner, but the timing is just off, Weidman can't wait that long and Anderson definitely can't wait that long!

Maybe Weidman vs. Belfort?

hmmmm * gets ready to make a shocking statement* Weidman vs Sonnen

Their wrestling would cancel each other out, so I think it would be a good way to see if their other skills are developed enough to give a shot at Anderson. Cuz we all know what happens if you come at Ando with just wrestling

Palhares/Okami vs Stann/Biping winner

Belcher vs Franklin

Vitor still has unfinished business with Wanderlei

Cung Le vs Botech

Dana mentioned Lombard cutting down to 170 cause he is so short and could loose some of his bulk.

In terms of recent wins/performances:

1. Weidman
2. Belfort
3. Belcher
4. Boetsch

I don't think Boetsch or Belcher have any chance against Andy. Belfort should pose a big threat but I think Andy's mental advantage over him is too great. Weidman looks confident, is technically very sound, and his style may match up well, but he's never faced an opponent that is remotely on the level of Andy. Hard to imagine his first time being the charm.

Long story short, I'm more interested in seeing these guys fight each other than fighting for the belt. Maybe Andy can go on dancing with the stars for a few seasons while the rest of the division closes the gap a bit.

They did that and we got Maia, Leites and Cote lol. Please not again.

I honestly think that the winner of Bisping/Stann will get it. If not they will probably announce something soon and Boetsch or Weidman are the only ones I see getting the nod. I don't think Boetsch has earned it yet. I would like to see another fight from Weidman first, but with 5 UFC wins and 2 top ten wins he has certainly earned it.

Belfort needs at least 1 more good fight before he gets another shot, but a decent win from him and he can get it.

Belcher has not beaten anyone in the top ten (I don't think Dino was top ten), he would be next in line from me.

1) Stann/Bisping
2) Weidman
3) Boetsch
4) Belcher

*Vitor depending on his next fight would jump right in there.
Looking for Sig Bets, I got:
Cat Zingano > Miesha Tate (Tron)
Cormier > Mir
Vitor > Rockhold (Tron)
Werdum > Mir
Cezar > Dollaway
