Donaire knocks Mathebula down in 4th with the same shot against Montiel. If it wasn't for the bell, Donaire would have gotten the win.

Donaire wins by dec... The announcer paused a little bit when he was reading the decision, and i had deja vu with the Pacquiao robbery lol. You saw it when Donaire's smile turned into a look of concern when the ruling took longer than usual lol. Unlike Manny though, Donaire won by a very large margin, one of the judges only gave MAthebula 1 round lol. I gave Mathebula 3-4 rounds, regardless ok performance from Donaire against a bigger fighter. Would have been a lot better if he had gotten that KO in the 4th.

Not too impressive of a performance from Donaire imo. He was fighting a bum with no power and was getting outworked and caught clean. He needs to stop showboating and depending on one punch and plan on going the distance with these bigger fighters and use his boxing skill. Rigondeaux will beat the shit out of him if he fights like he did last night.

Shitty performance by Donaire. He wasn't listening to Garcia at all. He fought as if he was the taller fighter. Donaire got caught repeatedly and honestly could have lost that fight had Mathebula been a popular boxer. There were times where Math caught ND with 8 punch combos. If Math had some pop, he might have knowed Donaire out. Donaire is talented but he is showing an unwillingness to buckle down and box instead of depending on his power and flashy dumb shit. Thats gonna get his ass whooped sooner or later. Rigo will def tax that ass if he fights him like that.

The bad thing about it is Donaire could have outboxed this dude easily but was too busy trying to get a one punch KO. He probably couldve gotten the KO easier by laying back countering dude instead of dropping his hands and not moving his head, playing around. Donaire SHOULD NOT move up to 126...he'll get destroyed :| . He looked flabby.

Yeah he was just trying so hard to entertain that he lost sight of fundamental boxing. Guys like James Toney and Prince Naseem were so talented, but sometimes gets too impressed with their own skills that their confidence did more bad than good. Donaire needs to realize that he can't get that KO win every time.

He's buying too much into his own hype. He has power, but he was KOing smaller boxers. He has to break bigger guys down. He needs to find a median between his showboating and fndamental boxing. He was getting hit way too much in that fight and was missing like crazy. He better wisen up quick.

As far as him moving up to 126....he fights for Top Rank, he will be moving up....Donaire vs Lopez would be entertaining.
