Not much to add to all this. In Sonnen, Anderson has beaten one of the best wrestlers in MMA, maybe the best wrestler, with one of the most powerful and driving take downs. And done so in convincing fashion.

In a way, I feel a sense of ease-- Anderson winning shows, one again, that MMA need not collapse into a free style wrestling circuit. That is, wrestling need not be THE or ONLY base to be a long time successful champ in MMA.

yes, that part was indeed special. it was the moment where he no longer believed in his own hype.

Yeah that was hilarious. I actually laughed when it happened. It was also the moment when the myth of Chael being this super, unstoppable, badass...ENDED.

I liked when Sonnen had Silva mounted, and Silva was just laying there with his eyes closed like he was sleeping... lol

That was extremely dumb, anyway you grab someones shorts in a fight it's illegal, same as an eye gauge or grabbing the cage with your fingers, you should and probably will get warned. Not that it was relevant to the result of the fight but i knew Anderson was gonna show 0 respct for Sonnen while fighting.

I've been quite civil, for your information. And in regards to the shorts holding, yes it's illegal, but it had no impact on the outcome of the fight. Anderson was simply better.

Ok, I will admit I am bitter, mainly cuz I bet against Anderson *Twice* in the same fight!

I just want him to lose, and I will bet against Anderson until he loses like Fedor... Hey that can be a song
"Lose like Fedor" to the tune of "Moves like Jagger" lol
Hehehe...

The Knee will always be illegal in my books...

Bitter, damnit! :P
The taste of defeat is not all Burritoking left in my mouth... why oh why did I bet against him...

Actually, to clarify, I meant Sigbets.

Pffft, Anderson isnt worth betting money on, GSP on the other hand... Nah, I playing, Id never bet against him either...

Or Jon Jones... JDS? Yeah, everytime. Benson Henderson? Yeah, Frankie will beat him . I will also bet against Cruz and Aldo.

Why?

I just got something against these particular Brazilians who happen to be Champions, and everytime I see them smile, I wanna shoot them in the face with a .12 gauge shotgun.

Was that too far? I can *Never* tell! XD

this doesnt deserve a thread of its own so i'll post it here.

i was just eating lunch in the cafeteria and 3 random dudes walked and sat at the table behind me.

i couldnt tell exactly who said what but this is basically what i heard from casual UFC fans.

"do you follow UFC"

"Yes"

"did you see the fight saturday"

"yea, i thought sonnen would win, im not really a silva fan"

"me too. he tried a weird move"

"it was a spinning backfist...you cant do that against the number 1 fighter in the world"

"he musta had a lot of confidence to throw that, i've never seen him throw anything like that before"

"but then he fell and silva kneed him in the chest and then beat the shit out of him"

"silva ducked under it, it was kinda cool"

those were 2 non silva fans accepting what happened and talking about it. no complaints, no hatred toward silva or anything. and im just eating my food. slowly regaining faith in mma.... excuse me "UFC" fans

Sometimes casual fans are better than biased, radical, rabid, frothing, avid fans
