Asurah wrote:So, who's 4 fight run did you find more impressive between the two?
few things to keep in mind:
over the period in question, both men won 4 fights
Shogun def. Rampage, Lil Nog, Overeem & Arona - the last two were in a single evening, the entire thing was an individual tournament that in total spanned FOUR MONTHS. Unless I'm mistaken, all were top 10 at the time except for Overeem.
Lesnar def. Herring, Couture, Mir, Carwin - this was over a period of TWO YEARS, only Herring was regarded as a non-top 10 at the time. In this period Lesnar won a title and defended it twice.
I think Shogun beating said guys in such a short period in itself gives him an edge, but to counter that you have to remember that Lesnar began that run with only 2 fights experience, Shogun started his with 9 or so. As a side note, both men lost the following fight after these wins (not especially relevant though).

We could also try: Which champ should grow some balls and move up to fight the champ they are scared of.
who did you have in mind?

what? I'm comparing two different strings of wins - vote for the one you like more.

Lesnar's overall record isn't nearly as extensive as Shogun but his strength of schedule is quite impressive
that's kind of the point of this poll though - obviously 6ish grand total fights won't stand up to 26, we're just comparing a highlight of their respective careers.philphan wrote:I'm going Spider for sure, what a p4p legend. Scared of Jones.
Jones going up for JDS to show us his scary talent. Scared of JDS.
And Aldo needs to go up to 155 and show his shit against bendo. He would have a better shot at frankie tho.
Just to name a few
interesting, although those men fighting is contingent upon actual weight class jumping which might be out of the realm of reasonable in the first place
