WHICH FIGHTER WOULD WIN. . .

Postby Brickbat » Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:33 pm

the UFC 1 Tournament if it were held today with the same old rules of the past. Which fighter and Why?

I would have to go with JDS b/c of his fighting style. Great TTD, never gasses, takes minimal damage while inflicting maximum damage, very efficient/effective fighter that doesn't waste energy, he could easily KO 3-4 fighters in one night if needed. . .

He would be tough for sure. I think the amount of damage he doesn't take would help him last 3 fights in a night.
He doesn't break his hands does he? That might be the only thing to stop him.
Could you imagine if somehow, by accident, they brought in JDS as their boxer. Royce would have
been in big trouble.

I would probably have to go with Anderson Silva. He has great power, insane accuracy, excellent overall striking, great gas tank, very good submissions and a granite chin.

I was incline to go with him at first but remember there are no weight classes in UFC 1

Leonard Garcia would dominate UFC 1 without even getting tired. To tell the truth any modern fighter could dismantle those goofs from UFC 1.

If it were held today with the same rules and fighters, Id say the current champs. Theyv already proved they could beat everyone in the division, if their cardio is up to par then any of todays champs would win

He could still have a chance if JDS did happen to get hurt. Spider is durable and would do well against most bigger foes.
He would for sure have to be there to make it awesome. Spider/JDS final isn't horrible at all, and it JDS kept it standing it could be fun for a bit.

but does he have an iron crotch, hits to the balls were allowed and encouraged.

You are correct about most fighters dominating, LG might be a bit of a stretch but I hear ya.

 Great point, I'm not sure about him having a glass crotch or not. That one Korean dude just kept punching the other guy in the cup on one of those early ones. Funny!
