UFC 147.....fewest fights on a card ever?

Postby FlyingKnee87 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:34 pm

im kinda confused about this UFC 147 card. the event is not too far away, yet they still only have 4 fights lined, with 2 of them being irrelevant with some no-names. are they really only showing 4 fights? even on the ufc website, every event after 147 is a full card. if this is supposed to be the TUF Brazil finale, maybe i can understand them waiting to fill the card up. but i highly doubt it considering its a pay per view and that the event has a number. am i missing something here?

It's those four fights plus the TUF Brazil finals (2 more fights)

then also

Francisco Drinaldo vs. Leonardo Macarrão
Rodrigo Damm vs. Anistavio Gasparzinho
Hugo Wolverine vs. Wagner Campos
Sergio Moraes vs. Renee Forte
Marcos Vina vs. John Macapá

Those as well.

there was a thread about this a few days back. apparently you're right on, waiting for TUF to fill up the card.

it will be pretty pointless to air the ultimate fighter brazil on fuel since we will know who the finalist and winner is. But i guess it would be nice to see it still

oh ok it makes sense now. but i think its stupid to make it a pay per view. Not many people in the US are even watching the TUF Brazil season, let alone want to pay just to see the finale. if people do order it, its purely for the main and co-main event, which wont garner alot of sales

It'll probably be entertaining. But it's such a weak card for a pay per view. It's going to tank badly. They should really consider making it free.

This was going to be the Silva vs Sonnen fight which is why it is a PPV, guess it was too late to change it after they moved that fight.

Are the fighters from TUF brazil good? Or are they just like your average tuf fighter?

I think they are much better than what we get from the US Tuf, which really just looks for drunks now.

I have seen some of the episodes and it was cool, just didn't like all the subtitles, stupid USA not making me learn another language.
