BJ PENN > GSP

Postby Brickbat » Fri Jun 08, 2012 4:53 pm

This is why BJ Penn will always be a greater fighter/competitor than GSP. He is fearless and is constantly challenging himself by fighting larger big name opponents for the fans. Never the one to be complacent, Penn dominated the LW division, after boredom set in BJ gracefully lost 2 sparring matches to Frankie Edgar before challenging himself in a bigger/stronger weight class. Since GSP has been bedridden nursing his supposed knee injury BJ has fought Fitch(former #1 contender), Nick Diaz (Strikeforce WW Champion) and now scheduled to fight the next top contender at WW in Rory McDonald, all the while GSP has been getting his butt-hole bleached and working on his tan/riddim. Penn has basically kept the WW division interesting, exciting and relevant for the fans. One could argue that BJ Penn won the first match-up against GSP, he inflicted more damage but lost a close decision. BJ was literally greased by GSP in their 2nd match-up and eventually gassed from all of the greasing he endured. Now Penn faces McDonald who also lost a close decision to Condit, all the while GSP sits and robs the fans of great match-ups by refusing to move up in weight. Now Condit must wait for GSP to heal up so he can fight. GSP has literally shut-down the division, but thanks to BJ's love of fighting and willingness to fight for the fans he has once again infused life back into the WW division, and this is why my fellow linkers BJ PEEN > GSP. . .

?? Rory lost a close decision to Condit?? How bout a TKO with 7 seconds left.

BJ gassed because of greasing?? Oh my must have been the grease on GSP's glove when he was punching BJ's face in. Anyways, not that I think it's a bad opinion that Penn>GSP, but your facts are a little skewed.
Anger he smiles towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
Blue are the life giving waters, taken for granted
They quietly understand

lmao. I'm not to sure if you are serious or not though.
I will say this about Bj Penn though, he may be the most fearless guy in the whole entire sport.

Could have been a draw if that 7 seconds were alowed to pass.

You lost me when I saw you had BJ Peen and Henderson listed as you favorites. (Peen at LW and WW, and Henderson at MW, LHW, and.... HW :?: )

WAR BJ PEEN!

That was his ONLY fight at HW, hardly enough to consider him a HW fighter. Honestly I wouldn't consider him a MW fighter either since the last time he fought at MW in the UFC was 2008.

I guess Wandeco, Shogun, and Sakarabi never fought guys who had 30 lbs on them.
