Style vs Style Thread

Postby discoowl » Fri May 18, 2012 9:20 pm

The early days of MMA were considered a melting pot of styles where different martial arts could compete against each other to establish the best technique of all. In the early days the technique that came out trumps, seemingly, was BJJ. Over time the styles morphed into what we now know as MMA aka human cock fighting.

This thread is a place to post true style vs style fights that you have seen in mma or more broadly.

Here's a start:

Do you know what style of karate the above videos showed?

I find it interesting on the bottom video that the karateka agreed to fight under muay thai rules. Im super biassed for muay thai. I would've liked to see more clinch work early on.
