Good call. During the McDonald and Mills fight I was trying to tell these two older gentlemen who were part time fans and a little familiar with the sport that McDonald is gonna be the next champ. Then he comes out and wrecks Che Mills the way he did and proved me right. The kids got everything. If Ellenberger wins that would be a very intriguing match up

Calm down there chief. My point was that at only 22 years old he's showing skills that are far more impressive than anybody in the welterweight division right now. And I know it's ancient history but he showed some real good shit against Condit a couple years back when they fought. If I remember correctly he was handing Condit his ass before getting caught with strikes. So you're right other than Condit, Diaz and now that I'm looking at his record he beat another talented young guy Jordan Mein, other than those guys he's beaten some scrubs. Hence why I'm calling for a top contender for him to fight. Der

I'm just so sick of this shit at this point, bro. People keep acting like Rory is some shoe in for the belt and aside from basically "GSP said so" I'm not seeing a whole lot of justification for it.

Let me put it this way. I'm not sure if Rory's record really even suggests he SHOULD be fighting a top contender. His best win at WW was against Nate, who was coming off a pretty lukewarm performance against Stun-Gun. A fight in which he got controlled and outgrappled. I won't even bring into this arguement that Diaz is a LW. Diaz simply isn't a notable WW. The Marcus Davis win was an okay one, but Diaz was a far cry from being a legit ranked WW.

I was pretty unimpressed by the Condit fight. Rory showed good takedowns sure, but Condit has some of the worst takedown defense at WW. Hell, even now Condit's TDD sucks. Even after getting Condit down, Condit basically swept/stood up almost at will against Rory. Then the 3rd round came up, and Rory got tooled for 5 minutes.

This brings us, I guess, to the Mike Pyle fight. Mike Pyle is an okay midish tier fighter. However, he's far far way from what you'll see even in the top 20 at WW. Honestly, for Rory's next fight he should face someone like Erik Silva, not anyone near the top 10.

I don't know. It's just frustrating to me to see sooooo many people calling this guy the next WW champ when he's beat a LW and a bunch of cans.

Meh. Hendricks would rail him. Siyar is a bloated can at this point. The KO over Paulo was sick, but against anyone technically sound/not half way retarded, Siyar will struggle. Hendricks via real easy UD. Siyar vs E.Silva at this point.

Siyar is an all around vet outside the UFC. If you youtube him up, you would be assure that he has better boxing than Koscheck and Hendricks himself.
