Not that athletic? What do you call running triathlons on a monthly basis then? A couch patato?

I agree. I think you're more athletic if you can compete like the Diaz brothers do in their sports. Sure, they aren't physical phenoms of strength, but they are athletic as hell.

Triathlons don't count. Athletes do sports...not try to be the best at exercising.

I beg to differ. Jamarcus Russell made it and he was not athletic. The Gracie family wins this argument hands down.

I define athleticism as a guy thats fast, explosive, can jump high, agile, light on his feet, etc. An NFL running back or wide reciever is a good example of an athletic guy, or acrobats too.

GSP is an athletic wrestler, while Hendo is not. Dos Santos is an athletic HW, while Carwin is not. Its more than just cardio and strength. Really, its mostly about agility. Most HWs couldnt do a legit "showtime kick". Dos Santos can do it though, because hes athletic (for a HW).

No thats just agility

Athleticism is all of the above and more... not just agility

Hendo is athletic as hell... thats why he was an olympic alternate at wrestling for the US... you dont get there without athleticism... or are you suggesting that Hendo became an olympic alternate without athleticism?

This is pretty much a joke thread XDD how do u not include them

The Gracie family does not really have many 'athletic' members. Jon Jones is a top P4P MMA champion, 1 brother is a professional football player and the other is about to become one, too. That is out of a much smaller family core.

Out of the huge extended Gracie clan, who has done anything outside of MMA/BJJ? Even Rickson, who is probably in the best condition of them all, has never done anything of note elsewhere in sport.

The Shamrock 'brothers' were both champions in combat sports but not anywhere else (I was a huge fan of them both when they were competing).

Nick and Nate both compete in triathlons (I hear about Nick doing so often, but not so much Nate) which requires a high degree of fitness. I just don't think either of them would be very good at a 'game' style sport like baseball or football. Maybe soccer since they have good cardio.

Doing triathlons while fighting full time isn't athletic, but playing football is. Awesome logic is awesome.
Chael Sonnen is my champion.

I don't really see how people are arguing with this. It's pretty obvious that Jones's family is the most athletic because he has... I don't know... 2 brothers in the NFL?

Thats what happens when people improperly define athleticism.
