What next for Rashad Evans?

Postby artteacherdeeter » Fri Apr 27, 2012 7:29 pm

Apologies if this is already been posted.
He can't beat JBJ so knowing that what will he need to do?
Too small for HW?
Too big for MW?
Should any fighter that wants JBJ have to fight Rashad? Someone so talented shouldn't be just a gate keeper.

Machida! I'm sure he would like to avenge that total ass-beating he received from the Dragon. Machida needs a good fight to get back in the win column. Both would be motivated for this fight. I'm sure Rashad is more haunted by the Machida loss than the Jones fight. He fought about as good as he could against Jon Jones. The stanky leg loss was just a dismantling of epic proportions and I'm sure Rashad feels he has grown as a fighter and thinks a rematch would go much differently. . .

So you think he can cut to MW? I wouldn't know. I think the Machida fight makes sense, but a cut to MW would put him in the mix for the belt for sure.

Too small for HW?
Too big for MW?Evans probably CAN make 185 and if he cuts properly (calling Mike Dolce) his speed would help him there. He has solid wrestling, quick hands/good power, and would be a fresh talent to shake up things.
Should any fighter that wants JBJ have to fight Rashad? Someone so talented shouldn't be just a gate keeper.Agreed. I don't really care for Evans, but he is well above gatekeeper status...and having held the title (and just lost his claim to regain it) he is still top 3. Gatekeepers are borderline contenders who really won't earn a legit title shot.

learn to move forward and blend TD's

or just learn to do something

from now on no more just standing in the slot waving your hands up and down wile getting hammered then running and getting hammered then running some more only to get hammered elsewhere

In all seriousness, the only 2 choices are Shogun or Machida.
