UNOFFICIAL: Man-up thread! Sonnen vs Silva

A lot gets said leading up to a fight.

A LOT has been said about these two.

One camp believes Sonnen is going to get stomped like a Nark at a biker rally, while the other camp believes the fight will look a lot like the first one (minus the submission).

I've seen both sides make some pretty bold claims.

The question is how many of us will grow a pair and actually man up to how far off the mark we were? :mrgreen:

This thread encourages you to do just that! If you've made some comments that are destined to make you look like a fool if you turn out to be wrong - please feel free to post them here and allow the community to poke fun at you! The more outrageous the comments the better! :mrgreen:

If you can't remember any of the potential foot-in-mouth statements you made, I'm sure the community can help you find a few!

After the fight we can all laugh at how collectively foolish we all are for pretending to know the outcome of future fights with an absolutely certainty! Afterwall we've all done it at some point! :biggrin:

This fight is worthless, and I would have rather watched Anderson fight someone who could feasibly challenge him. Silva only has a couple more fights before he retires, and this one is a total hyped up waste of time.

Silva should be fighting Shogun or Henderson.

I thought this one could get the ball rolling. And trust me I'll post some of my own dumb comments when I find them.

Sorry to pick on your Orange peel lol. This has a lot of foot-in-mouth potential.

silva will not brutally ko sonnen. itll be like the first fight with either a 5 round dec going to sonnen or another submission. there was no bullshit rib injury either and i can see silva already playing the hes injured card win or lose again.

Chael Sonnen is the best wrestler in MMA. There is no reason an amature like Silva will ever have the belt again after Chael beats his face in... Again. Chael will retain his middle weight belt against Silva. In what world can you beat the hell out of someone for 24.5 minutes and have the ref say you lost the fight? Not this one. Sonnen will stay the champion.
