Thats how he gassed

I know but, do you think any less of him as a fighter after that fight? People are making it seem like, he came out of shape.

I dont think anybody really thinks that much less of him to be honest..Everybody gave him mad props after that fight...personally i thought it should have been a draw but whatever..both guys put on a war and both wre wrecked after it..

Dan does have question marks over his cardio though for a number of reasons...

Firstly his age, secondly he has gassed against Shields, Silva and Shogun and although against Shogun and Shields he fought like it was a sprint, you have to be able to control how you fight to how good your cardio is...if you don't you will continue gassing and continue giving your opponent chances to get the W

He gassed because TRT doesnt equate to good cardio.
I see many enablers.

Dan was gassed in the first round vs shogun. He was noticebly fatigued in the second. By the end of the 3rd, he was done. If he hadnt beat shoguns ass so long, shogun wouldve probably been able to finish him.you can see both guys taking deep breaths during the end of round one. He is in his 40's and trt will only do so much. So there is no shame in it but to say he was gassed due to a 5 round war, when he was gassed before the fight was anywhere near over is ridiculous.

Hendo is a "mouthbreather", and he almost always looks tired, but can endure all 5 rounds always...

I recall somebody, maybe Randy talked about that after some rounds hendo literally crawled to the corner and it looked like he was done and come back to the next round again like crazy...

Point is he can dig deep...
If you want peace, prepare for a war. JDS is the next champ!

What about the Shields fight? He gassed like crazy there too. He gasses out after like the first two rounds all the time.

I saw it kind of similar. Wasn't fight of the year for me (chandler/alvarez) or greatest UFC fight ever like some believe. I thought it looked like two gassed old men taking off on each other

Seems like alot of energy was expended by both fighters early on. Not necessarily conclusive of a "bad gas tank". Not saying he has amazing cardio either. I've only seen the fight once though.
"I don’t like the fights where I came, saw and conquered my opponent by knockout leaving him no chances. Actually the fights I like more are those where my adversary fights back. I like to rumble, to feel my opponent, just like that old dog fight."
