A biography of Anderson was published today (I haven`t read it yet), including many interesting facts:
1) In a moment of financial difficulties, Anderson was making a living teaching classes at Chute Boxe. Rafael Cordeiro didn`t want him to continue. They had an argument and Cordeiro slapped him. Anderson and a couple friends stayed outside the gym with a gun in his hand, but controlled himself and gave up. They are friends nowadays, but Cordeiro didn`t know about that;
2) The book has a picture of Anderson holding his dead daughter, a tragedy for which he blamed himself for a long time (circumstances are not mentioned in the sources)
3) During the fight against Sonnen, Anderson remembered the times of Chute Boxe, some people he doesn`t like anymore. He remembered their "never give up" mentality and thought about the training with Wanderlei. "If I endured the training with Wanderlei in his prime in PRIDE, with him kicking and stomping me, how am I not gonna endure Sonnen?" (my translation)
The book was written by Eduardo Ohata, who claims he didn`t like Anderson and started the book as a critic, because he wanted to know how AS justified some of the attitudes he had. Eduardo says he has a different view of him now.
