That doesnt work. Hendo couldnt finish franklin and vitor slaughtered him.

I'd prob go with Shogun being the bigger guy and all and he uses more tools.

Shogun for sure. Has a more well rounded striking and ground game. Better chin too. I would be pretty shocked if Vitor beat him, but it would be a great fight.

Ah I see all i'm saying is that Shogun has mean right hand that is the perfect counter for a southpaw.

hmm not sure, surprised they never fought before, two legends who have fought in same class at the same time. i'd hope for a vitor victory , i'm gonna pick vitor based on health , isn't as war torn as shogun

But if he came out like he did against Forrest in their first fight...he would get destroyed. It really depends on which Shogun comes out because as previously stated above, he is extremely inconsistent.

Took the words right out of my mouth. The Shogun in either Machida fight would stop Vitor before the end of the second round with ground and pound. I think Lyoto Machida is a much better fighter than Vitor, the only advantage with Vitor is hand speed and some power but not even by all that much.. Ask Rashad Evans. Honestly even if the Shogun that fought Hendo went out there he would win. Hendo is a lot less technical than Vitor to say the least but he hits just as hard, is a better wrestler which forced Shogun to stand (not that he didnt want to), and Dan's chin is one of the best. I dont think that Vitor has a bad chin but he would have been hurt by that uppercut that was powerful enough to rock Dan and a fresh Shogun would have the power to finsh the ground and pound.

Yeah, Shogun has slowed a bit but I think he could get away with clinching and grappling between strikes in the first and then Vitor would belong to him IMO. Shogun's size and leg kicks would be the difference.

Mid to late TKO or Decision for Shogun. I would love to see this fight! If "The Old Vitor" and "A 100% Shogun" showed up it would be epic.

Yes except health is his issue instead of pure lazyness. I'm not saying that Shogun trains as hard as he should for every fight, but a good deal of the time he is limited physically leaving him out of shape. Besides his conditioning issues he is slower on his feet, less explosive and losses a good deal of his kicking ability. When he doesnt have a major knee injury to try and come back from he is neck and neck with Lyoto Machida for the fastest 205 pounder as well as the best kicker.. Well as far as muay thai is concerned he is the best kicker in the division. I dont think he could or can beat Jon Jones but it would have been interesting to see Shogun in top form fight him or even get a rematch at some point just to see if he could present some different challenges instead of being a punching bag that wouldn't even engage. Shogun may never get back to his athletic ability that we saw vs. Machida or in the 2005 MWGP but we can hope. Also like other Chute Boxe vets he still puts on a hell of a show win or lose

F the whole which SHogun bs shows up bs.

I know I shouldnt do this but I'mma go with MMA math. Overeem vs Vitor twice... Shogun vs Overeem twice... I guess I'm going Shogun.
Karma is everything.
