PrideFc possible come back???

i was reading dana thoughts on adding regional events to help fill in the overwhelming list of fighters. so i was thinking that they should just bring Pride back to Japan. It does seem to fit the plans that dana was talking about and it would be easier to promote a fallen but beloved brand. so what are your guys thoughts on regional circuts?

I actually thought to my self,"they should bring back Pride with all the old rules to bring on some more old school Japanese fans and give Zuffa a Ring Event, they have a hexagon and an octagon and even a smaller octagon; why not a ring?" Bellator has the Circle.

I sometimes thing about the tactical differences between the different types of cages and rings. Also the various safety differences. Like a ring its actually safer to allow knees on the ground stomps and soccer kicks, than it is to have them in an octagon. In an octagon the cage keeps ur head in place, alot more so than ropes. That adds to the crushing power of the kick and could result in alot more bran damage. In the ring ur head can roll with the impact and reduce the force to ur head. It may not always work out that way but its more likely ur head will have some where to go in a ring.

So then y not bring Pride back with the old rules? My guess is Yakuza and Zuffa not having a team to manage the event.

Is it possible an org 'like' Pride could come back? Yes.

Do I think DW wants to have anything of that nature to compete with the UFC? Not on your life.

Perhaps another promotion can continue to grow into something similar to Pride, as certain other JMMA orgs employ 'international rules'...but JMMA is in trouble, and it is largely due to the aura of Pride/Yakuza corruption and the fact that Zuffa is the major power in the sport, where the unified rules prevail.

It does not really make sense. A small fraction of people know what pride was, to demote pride to show what the ufc and most people would consider lesser talent would diminish the value of the pride brand. Pride is gone and new and better things are to come. Cycle of life, something dies and something else in born in its place.
