Siyar is far from being no name, maybe unknown in the UFC, but otherwise pretty established on the outside. 21 career wins, with only 4 lost, of those 21 wins, 11 is by KO and 6 by subs. Plus his a Shooto Champ (LHW) and aTourney Winner.

As far that being a lucky punch, it's not cause its was an deliberate counter:

and he train for it. By implying that it's lucky then alot of past mma countering occurrence will be consider lucky as well: Fedor catching Arlovski, JDS countering Gonzaga, and Stout koing Yves Edwards.

O c'mon!! He almost hit him with the thumb...Fedor and JDS were clean fist hits, the angle & the everything makes this KO akward. Maybe you guys are happy with it and don't want to call it but that was 1 lucky KO. Either that or PT's chin is complete rubbish.

Siyar clearly dodged backwards and tried to punch Thiago in the face. Whether it landed cleanly like Fedor and JDS is besides the point. It still landed and it knocked Thiago out. The most plausible excuse is that Paulo's chin isn't good, but you can't take away a beautiful counter like that from Siyar and just blame it on a bad chin.

PT was bloody laced moving forward - which adds to the force of Siyars counter that hit directly to the side of PT's jaw/ear.

Nothing lucky about that counter and nothing suspicious about PT's chin - it was simply a beautifully timed counter which landed on PT moving forward and got Siyar a KO mate.

Easy fight for Siyar like I've been saying all along.

Totally agree. Silva would look just like Thiago. Siyar is a beast. I would love to see him vs Ellenberger.

I'd side with Jake due to wrestling. Also he's too far up in the rankings since he destroyed Shields.

What do you mean by lucky punch.......thats bullshit they train every day on striking and counterstriking.
Paolo trew a bomb and he just countered.
What luck?????

Yeah I'm sorry but if someone can KO someone up close with that kind of accuracy, it's anything but luck. Siyar even hit him again when Paulo was falling. That was pinpoint.

It would have been so awesome if he did the "lalalalalalalalalalalala" as he stood over him.
