Because he is going to be licenced. They had no legal right to test him and it was 2 months out so there was plenty of time left to apply for trt excemption. The ufc is very confident its going to happen, if they werent they would of told mir to be prepared, not cain and mir is still happening.

Theres obviously more info and hes being smart about not talking about it.

Yeah I agree man. A few days after it happened and they still haven't given Mir the nod, I had an idea that somehow the fight was going to still happen. I guess you never know until they touch gloves. Plus if he wasn't going to be licensed Dana White would be all freaking out cussing into cameras posting shit about AO on Twitter and all kinds of other dumb shit.
If he does not fight for some reason, I don't see Dana treating him like he did with Nate Marquart.

On the same note I agree with you as well, I really couldn't take Dana White seriously anymore if he treats different fighters in different ways. Being a good leader is all about consistency, and he really has none.

Theres something about that licence was expired. Thats why the brock fight cant be changed a No contest, when they said if he failed a random test, the result would change.

They really did actually have no right to test him because he wasnt under licence with them.

And the trt thing, everyone is taking testestorone during fight camp, and everyone on trt really doesnt really need it. But hey its a loophole, im not going to be hipacritical because in the sports i play, i expose the loopholes withen the rules.

he had two random drug tests in the next six months. yes, i agree trt is bull shit but look at that guy at least hendo is in his 40's

Yeh he had the two tests. But some weird thing about that not counting anymore. Thats why mmafighting.com and shivello recently said they had no legal right to test him. Im no law nerd, but if he's not under contract/licence then yeh, they cant do it.

Im torn. Im a huge Overeem fan, and have given him benefit of the doubt largely because of what guys who know more than me about S&C have said about the possibility of his weight gain being natural. That and the fact that he never failed a test. I was a fan of his at LHW, I used to bang my head when he lost cuz I felt like he was underachieving . Then guys mentioned his weight cut, and how it might have affected him, and how he should be good at HW, and the results were what they were.

But I just happen to be one of those boy scout fans who dont like the idea of any kind of performance enhancer.
I mean Reem went from a very good fighter with potential to be great, to a genetic freak. I mean the idea of THAT GUYS performance being enhanced is scary, look at that mutha fucka!? I was never fooling myself about the chances of this happening, but I want his career to go on because I truly appreciate his talents. And if he goes out there and looks smaller from now on and gets caved in, then we know he was a bit overrated.

I hope the fight happens, cuz at the end of the day its entertainment to me, but I am disappointed with Alistair, but not off the wagon just yet.

i dont think "the voice" is a lawyer

they said, if you want to fight here, you will be subjected to two random drug tests. He got one and failed, i understand your a big reem fan ( though you spoke out against steroid users a lot..), i like reem to. But come on, the guy failed due to some sort of supplement. we all know it. It was obvious before he was popped. No way he should be licensed. maybe he will, but he shouldnt be.

possibly. but i still think it was pretty clear he would be subjected to random tests. I still want the fight, but if reem wins, it will be soooo tainted.

They didn't have the right, alistair knew his license was almost up thats why he agreed to it .

Once his licensed expired that 2 random drug test deal became nothing better than a handshake agreement.
