Classy.
That's me, full of class. It's also classy of jon to do that, knowing full well he could end someone's career.
Since when does hyper-extending somebody's knee end their career? A push kick like that isn't powerful enough to cause a compound fracture. A torn ACL is much worse and that's what's up with GSP right now and his career is still going. Stop jumping to conclusions and over-reacting. It's a professional fight; these men know the risks when they step into the cage. Shogun suffered a way worse injury than what COULD HAVE HAPPENED when he fought Coleman and last I checked, he went on to become the LHW champion of the UFC.
On topic. I don't really see any way that Rashad wins this. There's nothing Rashad can do that Jones can't do better, or just as good. I could see giving Rashad the edge as far as wrestling because he is quite the stud when it comes to that, but I don't see him getting inside the long rangy anatomy of Jones. Jon has already shown his excellence in the striking category with his last 3 fights, and even his grappling. Submitting Jackson and Machida are no easy feats. The only other person to submit Jackson was Sakuraba in 2001. And Machida, he's never been submitted.
This thing with Rashad...I see it happen whenever there's a dominate champion. Any time Anderson has an upcoming fight, there's always some sort of reasoning as to why he'll lose. With Vitor it was his speed, with Okami it was his wrestling and the fact he trained with Chael. Same thing happens with GSP (With Shields, he was going to submit him with his so-called superior jiu-jitz), and now the same thing is happening with Jones. With Shogun, it was too early for him to get a title shot and he would get destroyed (and then when he won, oh no, "Shogun was injured!", even those he was 100%). And then with Jackson, he was going to get tagged while trying to do something flashy. I mean, the list just goes on and on and on with people rationalizing bullcrap reasons to satisfy their disdain for a certain champion making all their favorite fighters look bad. When will you people learn to stop being so bias? Evans WILL NOT WIN. He has no tools to offer Jones that he haven't already been offered before. Nothing is different about this fight. If rampage can't land a bomb, Evans won't land a bomb. Machida is the only one to land really clean on Jones and we saw what happened from there; he was still able to get his head together and land even cleaner on Lyoto to get the finish.
I say Jones Round 3 TKO. Though with Rashad's style, a submission in the 4th seems more likely.
