Anderson just has to keep doing what he's doing for a while longer. Somebody mentioned that he can't be a GOAT because he's already been defeated. He's undefeated in the UFC. If you're going to pull that shit out then Fedor has a lose due to a cut.

Fedor fights bigger guys and wins.

Anderson fights and makes MMA look beautiful. (with exception to Maia and Leites, yeah yeah, f-u)

More importantly than any of this senseless, non-stop GOAT talk, I'm just glad both of these fighters and genuine, humble people. That's never brought up enough. It would be a pity to have a street thug be the GOAT.

I'm a fan of both, but Anderson doesn't have the same fighting spirit that Fedor has. You don't see him diving right into his opponents strengths, willing to challenge himself. Say what you want about Fedor's competition, but he fought the best available to him for over 10 years and took them all on at their own game, and usually won in dominating fashion.

185 is his nautural weight class. To me nautral weight class is the class your best fit for and do not struggle to make weight. Fedor is goat but anderson is right behind him. But to answer your question , its simple, beat fedor

Not dance around the ring against very lesser fighters. When Silva retires, if he's still undefeated he'll be the GOAT in my eyes. Fedor just seems incredible because he took on fighters much larger than him and whooped them. I think they're too close to call really, I think Silva has fought a little harder competition though which will give him the edge.

When Silva reitres he will not be undefeated because he has already lost.

I think he was referring to being undefeated in the UFC.

I'm a huge fan of both, so it's hard for me to decide who is the GOAT. Both are definitely high up on my list. Fedor dominated the best HW's his era had to offer. Anderson, for the most part has done the same thing.

Thank you, I was referring to the UFC because anything previous is a little moot imo. 14-0 run in the UFC is damn amazing, and if he retires soon like he says he will, he will end his legacy on a good note and in 5-10 yrs people will be all over his nuts. Fedor seems to be more skilled at grappling while Silva's stand up and hand/foot-eye coordination is unreal. If Fedor had just retired...

Shit was epic, sucks some of you weren't around to see it. HMC was a freakshow fight, but he had some legit K-1 showings and was significantly larger than Fedor.

Fedor fucking destoryed Martin and was a keep busy fight, happens from time to time, especially when cats don't want to fight you. Anderson, however, fights two classes below his natural weight, he fights smaller guys in one of the weakest divisions in MMA...When Fedor ran wild at HW it was a strong division. My only regret is he didn't get to fight Kharitonov and Barnett.

i never said anything about anderson being better.
i just responded to the claim that he fought the best of the best.
and the only reason he fought sylvia and arlovski is because pride was done.
he ended up being forced to come to america to fight.

but in anderson's defense, he went everywhere and fought.
he basically sought out the best.
and anderson has went up a division and won.
fedor has lost when he fought a lighter fighter.
and he grabbed the rope to prevent lindland throwing him to the mat.
and how about arona?
these were smaller guys, one would expect him to annialate them.

he fought nog three times and coleman twice.
outside of that, he fought mirko once and randleman once.
randleman went 2-9 after that, he wasn't "that" good.
and hunt was 5-3, a whisker over .500.
and how, over that many years, did he only face mirko once?
if they were two of the best, would you not expect them to have fought each other more?

i'm not saying he wasn't great or trying to discredit him.
but he didn't face the best of the best.
he's had six years since pride to win a top fight, six years.
and he hasn't.

i agree with most of what you say but the HW class was no where near good when Fedor fought in it. All of his big wins are over guys like big nog and cro cop who do not weigh more then 240-245 pounds.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fedor fought in a lower weight class if he was to start MMA again.
