One of those teams is my Calgary Flames. If they don't go 6-0 or 5-0-1 for the rest of the season they are finished. The only bright side is that we have about 20 million coming off the books this summer. Hopefully we can make a play for Parise or Suter or Weber. There are a lot of things that I like the Flames, what I think they need is to get a different coach that understands line matching and zone starts so he's not playing Iggy in a power vs power role next season.

I'm also super excited about Sven. Plays like a cocky 18 year old would but he has the skill to back it up. I was very impressed with him in his time here. I would love to see how he plays against another cocky young skill player like Hall in the Battle of Alberta.

Also, for those interested http://www.capgeek.com is an awesome website if you want to check out salaries and who's going to be available when and all that shit.

What's your opinion on Iggy? Do you want him as part of the Flames resurgence or do you wanna see them get something for him? I honestly hope he wins a Cup before he retires, he's one of my favorite players.

I like players staying with teams for their whole career. That being said, it's too bad when great players don't win the cup. So I'd like to see Inginla win a cup before he retires with or without the Flames.

Yeah, he may have the Ray Bourque factor going for him, and you can bet on your life every single Bruins fan was an Aves fan for a whole playoffs.

Being a Montreal fan I could never cheer for Boston but I've always liked Bourque and I was happy to see him win a cup, especially with Roy in net.

I would like to see him remain with the team but in a Selanne type role, not as the primary scorer. I think he's a great role model for the younger players... this of course would require a coach that isn't a retard so who knows what's going to happen. If a major trade had to be made from the Flames core I think that Kipper would bring a lot more in return. Besides, Irving will be an NHL starter before too long and we still haven't seen Ramo play in The Show either since he fled to Russia. Ramo is putting up better numbers in a tougher league than Irving and Irving plays great with his limited NHL experience so I'm very curious to see what happens this off season.

Also, I have major respect for players that play their whole careers on one team. If the Flames don't make the post season then I will be cheering for Ottawa if for no better reason than that Alfredsson deserves it.

Respect to Schneider... 43 saves for his 3rd shutout of the season. Damn.

Khudobin had 44 saves of his own in the B's win over Ottawa. Quite a lot to like about the way he played.

looks like sid might be out quick.
philly's way too rough for him to survive that series i'm guessing.
as long as he scores a ton of goals and can secure the series i hope.

jersey/florida winner will be the dark horse i think.
i was saying a couple weeks ago that florida could surprise.

still cheering for malkin to get the conn smythe.

always a big upset.
only shocker in the east would be ottawa over rangers, but i can't see that happening.
hopefully LA can pound the canucks, then there's the upset for the first round.

I think the winner of the Florida/Jersey series is out in the second round. I don't think Brodeur has it in him to make another run at the cup and Florida doesn't have the scoring to make it.

I think Ottawa has a slight chance to pull off an upset in the East and Chicago and Detroit should win in the West.

I'm a little sad that my Canadiens are out though. Hopefully they can win the draft lottery.

the thing i hate about the canadiens is the french-speaking shit.
instead of going for the best people available, their main concern is that they speak french.
who the fuck cares about the media and shit.
put the best team on the ice and the best coach/manager in place.
it's straight-out racism.
what if vancouver kicked all players that spoke french off their team?
that's so irritating to me.

I'm hoping the finals will be Sens and LA but it's probably going to be St Louis and Pittsburgh.

I don't like tha either but I've been cheering for the Canadiens since I could walk and I'm a loyal fan. I was pissed when they let Muller go coach another team at the start of the sseason. When he got the offer to leave they should have fired Martin and gave him the head coaching job then.

I am very happy they finally fired Gauthier. The guy is useless. He gave Cammalleri away.

I would like to see them bring in Patrick Roy and give him all tthe power he wants.

I think the Canuks have a good chance to make it back to the finals. I wouldn't mind seeing them win the cup and finally get it back in Canada.
