I think his chances are good

people always put too much stock into a fighter on a run (wins), Rashad has the tools to not just win but to dominate

granted Jones as that ability also but Rashad has more experience.

i would give Rashad the advantage in experience and wrestling, and Jones the advantage in striking, reach, depth of tools and tactics.

meaning even i favor Jones overall but at any moment Rashad could tackle Jones down and G&P his face off.

we should all see this

Ok, so Rashad has a chance. Also, he could put Jones on his back... It doesnt mean "the end". Rashad will end up being his own worst enemy in this fight I think. Praise the "explosive td" n "Rashads fast" but at the end of the fight, Jones is Champ, n Rashads still a mouthy Sand vag lol XD
The taste of defeat is not all Burritoking left in my mouth... why oh why did I bet against him...

^^^ I usually just predict whatever the opposite of what this guy says
Sigbet: Hunt (me) vs JDS (jojo)
Account bet: Anderson (Me) vs Weidman (biscuits69)

I think Jones is going to win, but if they have rashad at +400 or greater i'm throwing 50 bucks on him.

You make some good points.

Rashad does have a speed advantage and a takedown advantage. My only problem with thinking Rashad could win is the way in which his striking matches up against Jones. I don't think Rashad will be able to tag Jones on the end of his punches. I think if he manages to punch jon, it'll be once he gets inside. As in, I don't think Rashad is going to be able to land his overhand right, which is his power punch. I think his best bet is to work on his uppercuts from different dirty boxing positions and try to get creative with how to deliver it (ie: Boetsch/Okami) so it might have a better chance of cilpping jones clean. I think that's his best bet on the feet. I think Rashad's clinch game is not going to be conducive for Jones' throws - I think Rashad will know how to steer clear of those throws which have always been a part of Jon's game and have not evolved since being at JAckson's. On the ground - Jones' triangle from the bottom is his most dangerous weapon.

If Rashad just tries to measure out his overhand he's going to be eaten up with kicks and long punches from Jones. He needs to use his superior speed and movement to gain the clinch and alternate between trying to scoop up Jones' legs and delivering uppercuts. There'll be some good moments where jones will be leaning forward to protect against the scoop where a feint to do so could end up with a powerful fight-ending uppercut.

 Yeah, because we all know how delicate Jon's hands are. Faking a thumb injury to postpone this fight. Not that that's gonna matter, I'm just hoping Jon was scared for a reason.
