Pretty certain thats fake. The last one looks like its going to miss by 15 feet before it comes back in the screen and goes in.
Its fake. They do stuff like this all the time in sports that involve hitting a ball. Eg, baseball, golf etc.

I saw him on CNN talking about the video and he was asked if it was fake. He openly admitted the video took several takes, but he DID do it, according to him. He sure seemed to be telling the truth, and it wouldnt be too hard to to figure out if the video was fake. The repurcussions for a soccer guru making up fake "soccer feats" would be pretty embarrassing.

I dont see any "Basketball players are pussies" arguments though
Shit, even in CONTACT sports, where you're SUPPOSED to get hit, people still fake shit to get the upper hand. B.Hopkins in Boxing, and J.Koscheck in MMA. Face it, flops happen in every sport. It's dirty, it's disgusting, it's sad...but "soccer" isnt the only sport that has it.
Soccer is one of the sports you need the most talent and skill. Especially if you compare to MMA? there is no comparison... In MMA if you're 20 and you train for 3-5 years, you are world class. In soccer if you start training at 20 you'll never get anywhere because you're already 15 years behind everyone else. We have athletes in MMA that started training at 30+ and became world champions. In soccer the level of skill and talent is so high that if you don't start training professionally at 5-10 years old then you have no chance.
I don't think anybody is trying to deny that flops happen in MMA or boxing. The matter at hand is the severity of it. It happens almost every match, if not every match, in soccer and it's really annoying to see. As far as MMA goes in skill levels...MMA is the most diverse and demanding sport there is. You have to know everything there is to know or somebody will exploit that. Name one person besides Jon Jones who is in their low 20's and has only been training for 3-5 years and is called world-class. Because the only person I can think of is...Jon Jones. And he is what you call an exception. A remarkable one at that.
Most guys HAVE been training since the ages of 5-10. Guys like Lyoto, Shogun, and Fedor. So I really don't get why you're going to sit there and act like soccer is so much more skillful of a sport, because it's not. Especially considering a game can't be ended with one occurrence (a knockout punch after dominating your opponent). Everything about you has to be polished, and if it's not, you will lose eventually. Just because somebody is in the pro leagues, that doesn't make him world class. Besides the fact that soccer is a team sport and MMA is individualized, so all the factors that go into skill are completely different. The training, gameplanning, and actual live competition itself isn't even comparable.

Im not sure and if somebody has actual figures contrary to this feel free to comdradict me, but as far as I know it football is Brazils most popular sport and by a long way too...
As I said these comments alone will have no repercussions but if these comments manage to go viral or he keeps on saying stuff about soccer like this, the UFC could turn away a lot of potential fans in Eur and S America...

Pretty much agree. No one is saying diving and faking doesn't happen in other sports; they obviously do. But in soccer, in some soccer cultures and leagues, it is pervasive and, due to its use in pretty huge matches, tacitly expected and approved.
I mean, I can't count how many times have I seen players get sent off during World Cup / Euro Cup final or semi-final matches due to overly dramatic injury faking from opposing players.
Fine -- players use it as a form of winning. If you can convince the ref to issue a red card to give you a man advantage, great, your team is more likely to win. But it's dishonourable conduct and a form of cheating.
In fact, other kinds of blatant and dishonourable cheating happen in soccer too. Think of Maradona's infamous "Hand of God" against England in the 1986 World Cup Quarter Final. He punched the ball in with his hand, but the referee missed it and it was called a goal.
When later asked about the obvious intentional hand ball, Maradona famously claimed it was the "Hand of God".

Its fake. Same as the nfl fantasy files. You'd have to be stupid to think anyone can do these things. He can barely string a pass together 20 yards apart anymore and you think he's somehow able to hit 3 trash cans on a beach, barefoot, about 200 yards away. My god people are gullible.
The soccer balls seem to have a really strange acceleration from the top of the flight coming down. If he said it was real and it wasn't it would be a pretty big risk to his reputation if someone there outed him for lying. I'd like to believe him but its definitely suspicious looking.

Yeah, there have been a series of videos like this, from many sports. They're all fake.

The difference between this video and the others, is Beckam is saying its not fake. He says it took 5-6 hours to pull off, but he claims its not fake. All it takes is one guy with some video editing skill to prove its fake, and then Beckam looks dumb. I wouldnt think hed be dumb enough to put himself in that position.

Man, Dana says some dumb shit sometimes...Saying that It’s the least-talented sport on Earth, is just dumb.
Here's why> I'm not a huge Football (Soccer) fan but I respect the hell out of it and the skill, athleticism and cardio it takes to run around a pitch for 90 minutes.
I'm an die hard Rugby fan and I could say the same thing about NFL or Hockey its for pussies who wear helmets etc...But I don't cuz I respect it, even with all the pads and Helmets its a tough sport.
So what exactly is Dana trying to achieve by criticizing other sports????....Global World Sport Domination? MMA fans beat up other Sportsfans? or that suddenly other fans will change their Mind and Sport to cheer for the UFC cuz the athletes are superior?
Naming the most popular sport in the world Futbol as a sport for 3 year olds, especially before he heads to Brazil, is like saying Eli Manning can't throw a ball to save his life, before a UFC fight at the Madison Square Garden, So whats your Point Dana?....
So according to his logic the sport of MMA is really easy cuz Brock Lesnar became a champion in 4 fights!
So whats your Point Dana?....
Does he know who George Best or Maradona are?...learn some respect Dana!

He says it took 5-6 hrs to film. I believe he could do it in that amount of time. That last shot sure looks like its missing by a mile; I guess its just a matter of the perspective.
Lets say its really about 40-50 yards. I think I could possibly do that with a lob wedge if I had 6 hours worth of takes. I'm like a 5-6 handicap type of golfer with a pretty good short game. I'm not much of a soccer player but that seems like a comparable feat.
