Honeestly, Bonnar's the best he'll likely get. Stephan getting knocked out by Rampage will do nothing to his career, he's a UFC lifer. While Forrest is the same thing, he's too much of a draw for them to feed him to Rampage and then Rampage leaving.

Stand up battles with Shogun and Forrest would be more interesting, but no one gets to pick opponents so Rampage has to deal with it. He is a wrassler so I dont know why he chooses to stand only.

Chuck had a wrestling background too but he wanted to stand and bang. Jose Aldo is supposed to be very gifted at BJJ but we don't really see him pulling guard and looking to submit everyone now do we. While I agree Rampage ought to diversify his attack a little more, if no reason other than to set up his powerful strikes (hooks), it isn't like he's the only one who hones in on one strength and abandons others.

I will say while he shouldn't get to pick fights and it can't be helped that he (semi-)recently fought two wrestlers in Rashad and Jones because of their and his respective positions in the division they didn't have to pair him with Bader and Hamill necessarily. While I think the Bader thing was timing and something he should get over, he did get Machida in there as well. I'd say give him the rematch with Shogun or at worst with Griffin. If he wins see about doing the one you passed on or a match with someone like Gustafson (forgive me I know I definitely botched that one).

I agree partly with what u said, but, just cause your a jiu jit su guy doesnt mean you will want to pull guard and possibly get beat on, only the very few best attempt that, for the most part.

Difference is that with Chuck (and Aldo) he wasn't getting out wrestled and controlled on the ground, and then bitching about it as if its his opponents fault for not catering to his skillset. Rampage was a good wrestler. If he bothered to train that instead of just boxing, he might be able to use his boxing a little more. But instead he just acts like everyone is scared to stand and bang with him when in reality they're just smart enough not to because they know they don't have to.

Then Hamil, who was basically powerless to do anything at all, then a title shot, where he got picked apart, not lay and prayed, and then Bader, because he wanted the Japan card and no one else sensible was available.
