I like your plan, SolidKevin, but would probably skip the first phase where Lombard fights Boetsch as that would be a fight with high risks for very little reward. Considering how thin the MW division is right now, I say Lombard should get a title eliminator fight right away, possibly against Belfort (if he wins) or Bisping.

Leben is a very good MMA wrestler, but he pretty much only uses it to try to stay on his feet rather than take opponents to the ground.

I've seen people on this site try and argue that he would wreck silva, now I've seen people argue if he is god enough to beat mcfeddries.

I'd prefer to see Lombard at 170. He's Palahares-sized, so while he can definitely take out some top UFC guys he'll never crack into that upper-echelon.

I think Hector would school most MW in the UFC.. His aggression, explosivness, experience and skills are hands down better than most MW's. This is MMA anything can happen but to say Drew beats Hector something don't sound right there..

Could he? Yeah lucky punch maybe, but look at every other fight where there has been a punchers chance, and how often it actually happens.. Only ones that come to mind are GSP VS Serra 1, no one expected that but knew he had a punchers chance, hell his Jitz was better than GSP's too but he landed his bomb.. Another was Soko vs lil Nog, hell look at Cro cop gonzaga..

Lombard vs Stann would be too sick. I'd go with Lombard via roundedness plus the speed advantage. Stann does have wicked power, but so does Lombard and Lombard speed would let him get there faster. Honestly I think Lombard would stop him via their aggressive styles. Stann is real hittable too. 2nd or 3rd round TKO due to Stanns chin and slight size advantage.
