"He is completely PREDICTABLE, he strikes with 2 hands and never kicks against a wrestler because he is scared of getting taken down"

watch kos fight he absolutely tools him with punches and kicks.

I think this will be close if Kampmann doesnt start out slowly otherwise i see Alves getting a TKO/KO

You know alves has only been knocked out once in his career and it took an upkick = strikes?

who landed that up kick plays a factor

Mike Dolce posted a photo, and claims that Thiago Alves has gained 27.6 lbs in just a few hours from the official weigh-in.

Kinda fucking hate Kampmann for whatever reason.

For some reason I feel the same way but I'm not sure why.
But I still got Kampmann by Dec.

This is going to be a great fight! I can't even pick a winner.

this is tough to call, i'll be rooting for alves though. if he is as reinvented as he claims he should be able to win decisively. his last opponent didnt count, he was a bum. Kampmann isnt gonna be easy.

my gut says kampmann is going to take this.

he has more tools and IF he can take it to the ground he's no slouch there either...

with all the hype behind the striking of alves i haven't been too impressed with him. all he has is power. it's not johnny hendricks power but he can still hit hard. (on the other hand kampmann can take a shot)
but his timing, speed and technique are not amazing.
IF he has been working on his offensive wrestling and works on his GnP game vs. Kampmann he stands a chance. that's what he should try for IMO.. otherwise i think Kampmann wins the standup 8/10. i see kampmann landing higher volume and possibly taking out alves. If alves wins standing up i think it will be with a single lucky shot that leads to a stoppage

This matchup is way more even and has the chance for way more excitement than most are giving it credit for. It's going to be my favourite type of fight - a technical brawl, and if a finish happens, it happens but I expect a magnificent display until the end.
Sigbet: Hunt (me) vs JDS (jojo)
Account bet: Anderson (Me) vs Weidman (biscuits69)
Now that we're gettin somewhere, you know we got to give back. For the youth is the future no doubt that's right and exact. Squeeze the juice out of all the suckers with power. And pour some back out, so as to water the flowers.

Alves via being my favorite WW. If he comes in true Alves form I see him taking it. Regardless, I think it'll be a nice technical stand-up fight. Unless Alves starts landing and Kampman decides to grapple. Then Alves is screwed and I'm pissed off.

Kampmann is going to pick him apart with that nasty jab of his. Alves will gas. You can't cut that much weight and not gas.
