One of the strangest staredowns in MMA occurred after the weigh-in for the M-1 Challenge XXVIII card, which took place in Astrakhan, Russia on November 12.

Saparbek Safarov and Tomasz Narkun had weighed in for their light heavyweight battle and were facing off when they began some not out of the ordinary staredown theatrics. Things escalated quickly and within seconds Safarov delivered some open hand strikes to the face of Narkun. Safarov was disqualified for his actions during the staredown.

You gotta love how this guy starts taunting his opponent like a 7th grader and when the guy taunts him back, he snaps then he blames it on a weight cut and calls it an accident. He is the Russian version of Diaz, never taking responsibility for his actions.

so am I to understand that these two did not even fight? Don't you think that actions like that would cause a person to want to fight even more and quickly accept the fight. Ok, so it was a bitch ass move but still let the guys fight.

There has to be a punishment for their actions. Taking the entire fight away from them is even worse than taking their purse if you ask me. Idiotic move on both guys parts. Dumb for the dude on the left to be so lame and cheap, idiotic for the dude on the right to play along with these theatrics.
