Maybe Phil Davis' youth & grappling can aide him a lil vs. Bones, but Machida's karate can't help him that much either..There isn't anybody who will beat Jones within the next 2 years. Rashad will be tooled, and Shogun will just end up tapping to strikes again, Hendo will get sub'd by Jones after Bones' elbows don't end up harming the Hendo skull in anyway.

I knew once they clinched that Jones was gonna win. He was obviously the stronger of the 2. Also he looked like a fucking giant compared to Rampage, how many @ LHW can make page look like a midget..

Jones fought a perfect fight. He used his size, strength, reach and his kicks were utilized perfectly.. I don't think the question should be "can Jones take a punch?" anymore, it should be "can anyone even punch this mofo?!".

Jones is gonna destroy rashad, and Hendo.. This guy is a fucking beast. Kudos to Rampage for his tdd.. Too bad the shot is probably why he was so tentative to throw in the pocket..

I've always defended Page when people say he one dimensional but I can't anymore... He needs to add another weapon to his arsenal. I have no idea what that would be.. I think he's too old to revert to wrestling and he's never had much of a kicking game @ all. I think he's got maybe a couple more fights in him. I'd like them to be a rematch w/ Forrest and Shogun.. Get a couple wins before hanging it up.. Forrest win is very doable IMO but Shogun win would be a tough fight.

I didn't discredit Jones at all. I said that I think he has nowhere to go but up. I also said he's a dynamic, well rounded, exciting, and entertaining fighter that can put anyone away anywhere given the opening. I also didn't say that he looked like crap last night. I said that I was shocked and amazed at how well rampage stuffed his wrestling early on, which leads me to believe a guy like Rashad can beat him. I also said, if you paid attention, that Bones could just as easily catch Rashad and knock him out and that the only way i saw Rashad winning this was to be boring as shit and lay on him like he did Page.

I don't see how -any- of those comments is digging at Bones. I also said Shogun was his first test, but that Shogun was inconsistent as a fighter. That's not a dig again JBJ. I even said that he looked on a whole new level that fight and looked absolutely phenomenal.

This is my problem with some of the other white belts here. You guys read one negative line, get rabid, start foaming at the mouth, and forget that there are several other sentences out there praising the guy. I like his style. I see a hole in it that a guy like Rashad can exploit. I am going to hate the idea of both of them being allowed to speak leading up to the fight because I absolutely despise both of them in interviews.

So I'm going to say this one last time. That post was huge for a reason. It was probably more in depth than you wanted it to be, and I'm sorry if your idea of a JBJ fan was ruined. It's cool. All is forgiven. I try to be objective when analyzing a fighter, like em or hate them. So while the first part of my original post was negative I understand how you could have misinterpreted me.

That being said i think Page is probably the worst person to test Jones.

He's not a very smart fighter, he's one-dimensional and he doesn't listen to his corner. And i don't believe he has the "fighting spirit" anymore.
