Overeem deserves to be suspended just like every other fighter that has tested positive for PED's has. I personally hope the UFC makes an example out of Overeem and fire him. If the UFC really wants these incidents to stop then its going to need to increase the penalties for it. All full contact sports should be using the Olympic style drug testing methods anyway, just like Mayweather wants in boxing. The UFC will never adopt those standards because Dana knows most of his fighters are using PED's and would be getting caught more often.

i feel like a lot of you need to read this and understand the situation a little more. when i hear people rage about the level of 14 men thing i laugh as it's proven that athletes have been known to have higher levels that 1 to 1 ratios and that is why the bar is set higher for them. HOWEVER, i am not saying that 14 to 1 is acceptable.

Granted, I would have loved to see this fight too...but if they somehow justify letting this fight happen it'll be bad for the sport. Would be an absolute joke.. Honestly, just cut him for his own good. He ain't gonna be the same w/out juice... I really hope they start some legit random testing and don't allow juiced out freaks to run the show.. The whole situation stinks of scandal:

Overeem tests positive for exorbitantly high testosterone levels, he still hasn't come out and said anything

Dana White acts pissed but then spends the night gettin pissed with Olivia Munn

Fans speculate that Mir is the only likely replacement candidate, Dana squashes this by stating the Mir vs Cain is still on

Now we've got a hearing set for the 24th, which Dana says he won't make a decision regarding the HW title fight until after said hearing

This makes zero fucking sense. There's no way DW is going to wait another 2 weeks to see if Overeem can explain his test results and secure a licence, unless he already knows he can make the fight happen. Is he really going to sit on that decision complacently to wait and see? Who the fuck wants to take a HW title fight on 4 weeks notice? (Even if you're already prepping for another fight on the same card regardless, you gotta think you'd want as much notice as possible to switch up your training and gameplan). With this development, I have little doubt that somehow we will see Overeem on the 26th of May.
