No offense to anyone but as pivotal as Cannibal Corpse has been in the metal movement they are one of the worst metal bands out there. It was their brutality and filthy lyrics that gave them legs but musically they can't hold a candle to many of the lesser known bands. They are extremely sloppy (especially live) and aren't that creative IMO. Sorry to knock them but those are my feelings. On that note:

Metal is one of my favorite genres I like to workout too. It gets me amped. My only problem is, I've always been sort of a N00b to the genre. It's badass though. Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax (I fucking love Anthrax), Pantera, Slipknot, Rammstein, Mudvayne on occasion, etc...
I know a lot of purists hate nu metal, but I find it decent on occasion. Go ahead and shoot me lol. It can't beat the classic stuff though. But again, I'm a n00b, so what do I know? lol

I don't listen to a whole lot of metal, but Slayer is fuckin' awesome.

Angel of Death is probably my favorite Slayer song. Raining Blood is pretty amazing, though.

Me too... I was in high school, and I had just started listening to Pantera. Then he got killed. So sad... Such a great band.
