Its this, the hand under the crotch to help stop the take down against the fence. He might have even been trying to grab chael's cup. It isn't a ball punch and your not grabbing the balls, its just grabbing the cup.

I'm not sure if making out is against the rules, they could have tried that also.

ive watched all silvas fights and ive never seen him look that nervous goin into the octogan as he did on 148,not sure if was the pressure ,ring rust, or a lil paranoid of chael,anyone think the same? silva runs mw end of.

I always just thought it was Segall trying some bullshit mental mojo, which was completely unneccesary considering the only way Chael was going to finish Anderson would have been with an actual middle-ages guilletine.
