Yeah, Florian massacred Guida.

Well maybe his fan is riding that unicorn? They are both heading to OZ.

Most of the things being said about Clay are true. I'm not a huge fan of his, but as mentioned above he has had some great fights with a few folks.

Just so we are clear, he had to just grab pettis and hold him down. If he would have let him up Pettis would have kicked the shit out of him. So take him down and win, or let him in and get highlight real KOed? It was that black and white.

I have no real horse in this race. I just think Grey is a big ol dummy who has limited skills. He can wrestle and cuts a lot of weight so he is a big strong 155er. He doesn't have good boxing, kicks, or bjj. He has been big enough to take guys down and GnP. That is it, and if he doesn't do it early he gasses. He beat Frankie the first time by using his size to take him down over and over. And the next 2 times he was able to overwhelm him with his size in the first, not ko or tko him, the he was a dog watching a card trick for the rest of those 2.

A nickname has never summed up a fighter better, he is just a bully.
So for that reason alone, I'll take the carpenter.

Not to say I hate on the guy, nothing really bad to say about him (except perhaps he isn't what I find entertaining but hey, that's just me).

What bothers me about Clay and some other (read:half of) the fighters in UFC rosters is that they perform but they do nothing "special". They're just bland guys fighting. I wouldn't even remember his fucking name if it weren't for that godawful hairdo which is the only thing that even makes me remember who he is.
Fedor is the GOAT, and exemplifies everything that is good in this sport

I don't hate him, but I agree that the fun happens when he's getting his ass kicked.
But the Bendo fight was really good. He actually rocked him because he's a fucking wild caveman. lol
He tries, and he deserves credit for his pace and cardio. He has a decent ground game. I would like to see harder ground and pound though.

hahahaha I never thought of it like that but your right. The first time I ever saw him was on a fuzzy video fighting Gil.
It was a fast paced fight, but the long haired guy lost hands down. Then he showed up in the UFC and I was like, it's the long hair guy who is tough.

Good point and I agree about Fedor.

shit, i would stick my fingers in someones cut if i was in a fight. it's a fight. what the big deal.
it's like fighters covering someones mouth while their in guard. i don't see what the big deal is. you think ANY fighter at all on the planet isn't going to take advantage of a cut. get real. all fighters focus on cuts when they happen whether they put their hand in it on the ground or aim for it with punches.

guida is a cool guy. and i'll always support him. especially when he's fighting douchers like "lay praynard". who may be the winner of most boring fighter in the ufc. plus he comes off as an arrogant meat head. (10-1, 8 wins by decision and his one loss comes by way of ko. by edgar of all people)

if anything everyone should be rooting for clay in this fight based on principle alone.

WHAT THE FUCK

so your saying you would shy away from a cut?

I'm saying I wouldn't dig my fingers into someone's cut.

The only exciting fights I have seen him in, the other person was beating his ass.
