to be fair, prior to the choke, the only thing spectacular in that fight was jones crawling like a monkey in the first round. there was nothing he did in that fight to be called impressive what so ever.

he's bending the rules to his favor. not the first time, wont be the last, but when someone punts him in the face and doesnt give a damn about the commission, then he will stop.

Rashad comes across as confident, but what I think is that he is living in the past while Jones has gotten much better.

Evans seems jealous that the younger guy took his spot (against Rua), looked awesome doing so, gets more press, defended the title multiple times, crushed the guy who beat Evans for the belt...and did it all with relative ease.

I think Rashad is trying to get people to buy into his words so Evans can feel like he has support and a better chance, although he is questioning himself.

He might be getting the better in the war of words, but I don't believe that is going to help him win the fight. I see Jones being better everywhere...despite not being as 'good' of a wrestler based upon credentials. Jones owns well regarded submission grapplers in grappling only matches, beats strikers at their own game, wrestlers at their game, and well-rounded fighters by being better everywhere.

Evans is a long shot for a reason. He can win this fight, but it will be an upset if he does.

Are you being serious? He completely picked rampage apart the entire fight until the choke. It's not like he just randomly caught a sub out of nowhere. He frustrated rampage and wore him down till he quit. Pretty much perfect execution of a gameplay that resulted in a finish... What part of that was not impressive?
