 Ya if Big Nog almost put him down, imagine what's going to happen against JDS

on a side note, about Hunt... IMO he doesnt deserve a title shot yet. if he gets another win , he should get a title shot, IMO. If Hunt beats JDS?? the UFC world will turn upside down.

I'd like to correct you on one thing. Nog DID put him down, he had Mir faceplanted and KO'd just as bad if not worse than Hendo-Fedor, and keep in mind it was Mir, a guy with a rich history of the finest china glass chin, and being faceplanted for other things.

The only reason they didn't stop the fight is because no one expected Nog to come into that fight quick, and looking younger and more technical than we've seen him in years. The ref saw Nog dominating Mir and faceplanting him and thought WTFqq? This isn't supposed to be happening, I gotta give Mir a chance! (The kind of benefit of the doubt-refereeing that Fedor never received in Strikeforce :x ). /rant.

On the note of Mark Hunt... If I were Joe Silva I would give Hunto the shot before Mir, just for the hell of it  . Watch Hunt KO JDS and expose his boxing, and then Hunt will knock out Mir after that and go on to be the most dominant UFC HW in the history of the world!
Sigbet: Hunt (me) vs JDS (jojo)
Account bet: Anderson (Me) vs Weidman (biscuits69)
Now that we're gettin somewhere, you know we got to give back. For the youth is the future no doubt that's right and exact. Squeeze the juice out of all the suckers with power. And pour some back out, so as to water the flowers.

Well he probably has a clear advantage on the ground. It's just getting it there that's the problem. But if for some strange reason he does, who knows what Mur could pull out?

If they can get Werdum to back fill Mir then the world would be back in order. Fuck Overeem at this point.

I just see JDS doing it quick and easy, I would have rather see Cain pull something like this off on Mir. :(

I'm sure JDS will be a little more extra motivated to avenge Nog's broken arm/losses. We might just see JDS decapitate Mir in this one.

I think Mir's got a good chance yeah not alot of people like him but i dont mind watching him fight ive watched him ever since hes started hes a legit top 5 im not a big Dos Santos fan he just another champ thats waiting to lose so he can learn from his mistakes Mir's already been there so i think Dos Santos will have a alot to handle with Mir and his experience

Pretty ignorant statement seeing how the last fight went.

I hope Junior wins (which I am 85% sure he will), but I like Frank a lot too and he DOES have a chance to win this.

The whole "If Nogueira can put you on queer street, what do you think Junior's going to do?" is a pretty good argument; however, "if" Frank can get Junior on the ground he could rip his arm off like he did his BJJ coach.

I definitely think Junior will beat the piss out of him but it's not predestined. I hope it goes the distance and is a good fight!

Come on guys, facts are facts, and the fact is Mir has always had shitty takedowns, that has never changed. JDS has shown very good takedown defense, more than enough to stave off whatever Mir comes at him with. And consider that Mir was starched standing by Nog in the rematch, and then consider that JDS is bigger, stronger, faster, and younger than Nog, and hits about five times as hard. The end result points to Mir being badly beaten, taking numerous unanswered punches until he goes limp, or being drilled with one huge punch and getting immediately knocked out. Either way, considering JDS's body of work, it's virtually a lock to happen in the first round. Frankly(heh heh), Mir needs, to paraphrase Spartacus, a miracle(there it is again) to shoot out of his ass.

I feel nothing either way. Will smile if Mir crushes JDS leg/arm with the sub.
