I have a theory, that Pabst Blue Ribbon is only popular with hipsters because of David Lynch's Blue Velvet

Since PBR was historically a beer for the lower class, I think hipsters are aiming for irony in trust-fund young kids drinking working class people beer. Or some shit like that

True. I guess how he fares after the suspension will be the deciding moment for the relationship

Now that just isn't fair to pride. Doesn't she get a say?

Overeem is a product of the UFC, he was garbage in PRIDE.

He was garbage in pride, but how in the world is he a product of the UFC with no fights IN the UFC :?:
And how is he still not garbage?

he beat BROCK LESNAR in the UFC, also he's not garbage because he's in the UFC.

Haha He did beat brock, but that can't be the feather in his hat can it? I wouldn't call him complete garbage (if we are talking for real cause I hate doing that) in pride, but not championship material.

In the UFC if he gets to fight for a few years, he will fare the same. He won't be JDS with as many try as possible and with all the extra help he can get. He might loose to at least 2 or 3 other guys.

interestingly his fight with Lesnar was in the mind of MANY his first real "test" in MMA, Werdum would have been the first true top 10 guy he fought and beat at HW during his streak and while he won that it was an awkward/shitty enough fight that most people were left unsatisfied.

I hear you. I want to see reem fight as often as I can. He is interesting and can kick some major ass. I want him to fight JDS a few times if they can just to see what JDS can do. But I just don't see him beating JDS I guess.

new thread topic? Crap music!

That "music" is ban worthy. Faaaaak!!!
Anger he smiles towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
Blue are the life giving waters, taken for granted
They quietly understand

i think the real issue is PRIDE fans can't let go... the sport moves on. we all had fun watching cro cop and wandy beat up under-skilled people half their size while roiding out of their minds, but that time has passed. The few guys left are worn out and their bodies ruined by injury and lack of PED's. It's ok to let go of it. It hindsight, a lot of those guys weren't as impressive as we once thought. The same is true of guys like ken shamrock from the 90's . at the time they seemed like killers ... in retrospect, a lot of them just beat terrible people who could not fight at all. People fear change, but it's ok too appreciate good figthers know for what they are. More than half this site hates some fighter, who will be left un named, who made shogun tap to strikes. He ruined their hero so brutally, it's easy to understand the animosity. Point of this rant is all mma fans need to let go of PRIDE. if you still enjoy the old videos or guys who still fight, cool. However, don't freak out when they lose or someone says they're washed up.
