I'm a 10 handicap, and Im sure I could do that in 3 hours with a sand wedge

I wanted to say I was sure but the more I thought about it the more I realized that 3 in a row is harder than it sounds. Lets say you could put it in 1/20 times. Doing that three times would be a 1/8000 run. I think you'd get better and better as you went but its still not a sure thing.

Oh well if he ses its real then it MUST BE RIGHT!? Its called maintaining the illusion. Its fake. Sweet jesus. I mean seriously, do you think he'd spend 6 fucking hours trying to do this when it can be done with cgi in 10 minutes. People cannot do shit like that. I can't say that he's an ass because I feel the same thing about american football, baketball, baseball, hockey. It's torture to watch 10 secs of that. Quality football(or soccer for select few) is very entertaining to me.

Oh yeah, and Rugby > american football. :|

American football sucks too. You know how much people actually care when most people tune into super bowl for the half time show and the ad breaks.......

Its MUCH harder to make it to the top in football, then it is in MMA. You cant even compare the two.

The basic consept of football is easy. But you have another team who will prevent you from scoring, and then its not so easy anymore. And when half the world plays the sport, the talent at the top becomes incredible high.

doyousukadaweena wrote:This "soccer players are pussies" argument really gets to me some times. Yes there ARE a bunch of videos online that show soccer players going down , faking injuries ...to get an advantage. But it happens in EVERY SPORT. There's a whole bunch of flops in the NBA as well. I dont see any "Basketball players are pussies" arguments though

Shit, even in CONTACT sports, where you're SUPPOSED to get hit, people still fake shit to get the upper hand. B.Hopkins in Boxing, and J.Koscheck in MMA. Face it, flops happen in every sport. It's dirty, it's disgusting, it's sad...but "soccer" isnt the only sport that has it.

Soccer is one of the sports you need the most talent and skill. Especially if you compare to MMA? there is no comparison... In MMA if you're 20 and you train for 3-5 years, you are world class. In soccer if you start training at 20 you'll never get anywhere because you're already 15 years behind everyone else. We have athletes in MMA that started training at 30+ and became world champions. In soccer the level of skill and talent is so high that if you don't start training professionally at 5-10 years old then you have no chance.

I don't think anybody is trying to deny that flops happen in MMA or boxing. The matter at hand is the severity of it. It happens almost every match, if not every match, in soccer and it's really annoying to see. As far as MMA goes in skill levels...MMA is the most diverse and demanding sport there is. You have to know everything there is to know or somebody will exploit that. Name one person besides Jon Jones who is in their low 20's and has only been training for 3-5 years and is called world-class. Because the only person I can think of is...Jon Jones. And he is what you call an exception. A remarkable one at that.

Most guys HAVE been training since the ages of 5-10. Guys like Lyoto, Shogun, and Fedor. So I really don't get why you're going to sit there and act like soccer is so much more skillful of a sport, because it's not. Especially considering a game can't be ended with one occurrence (a knockout punch after dominating your opponent). Everything about you has to be polished, and if it's not, you will lose eventually. Just because somebody is in the pro leagues, that doesn't make him world class. Besides the fact that soccer is a team sport and MMA is individualized, so all the factors that go into skill are completely different. The training, gameplanning, and actual live competition itself isn't even comparable.

I don't disagree about the flopping in soccer being embarrassing but my point is it happens in other sports and it's almost like playing the points system to win. The talent level is where I disagree. There are dozens of Jon jones in soccer and the flash KO argument just illustrates how you can be the less skillful opponent and still win due to the nature of the sport. The two sports, including the fact that one is a team sport, is just too hard to compare apples to apples but the skill level of a professional soccer player is ridiculous. MMA still has a long way to go before we see the pinnacle of the evolution of their athletes/fighters IMO.

Also, are guys on the soccer forums/sites saying that MMA is gay or whatever? Honestly, I can imagine them saying even dumbing shit about this sport because whenever someone who likes a different sport insults MMA, it's always some of the most fucking retarded comments possible.

MMA is pretty gay. I love it but there is no denying there is a hint of homo in there.
