i think we will see a good deal of those kind of fights at LW and below where the jump up isn't as drastic as it is in the higher weight classes.
HW - Ubereem, Mark Hunt, Daniel Cormier
LHW - Gustafson, Jimi Manuwa
MW - Belcher, Sonnen, Filthy Tom Lawlor, Hector Lombard, Paul Harris
WW - Nick Diaz
LW - Nate Diaz, Pettis
FW - Max Holloway, KZ, Dennis Siver
BW - Faber, McDonald

If GSP beats Condit and WHEN Silva beats Sonnen then the fight should happen. We wouldn't get another shot at it. I think both fighters are honestly within a year or two of losing and as we can see from Chuck Wandy, it is much better to get that superfight when both guys are still "unbeatable"

I still don't understand why anyone would want to watch GSP get absolutely murdered....well I guess if you hate George.

Sonnen is like the bigger stronger version of GSP on the ground....and let's be real....GSP isn't going to be standing with Anderson.

Well Strikeforce is Zuffa owned now, and Dan Henderson was the Strikeforce champion.

GSP would not be holding onto Anderson, he'd be looking to pass or drop elbows. Despite being smaller than Sonnen I would be willing to bet GSP does more damage with his strikes.

I also don't think Anderson would sub a GSP who had not been rocked...I mean, GSP actually has a sub game. Chael, at this level, does not.

divisions are more stacked nowadays so it will happen less and less, it's dangerous is a lower champ beats a higher champ and makes the division look like shit

Silva vs Jones would IMO make way more sense than GSP vs Silva.

i dont really see the point in doing those kind of fights, there is good and bad results, forcing a fighter to gain or lose weight for a fight usually means the fighter is not going to fight at their best, Jon Jones is a freakishly huge at light heavyweight, he could fight Junior Dos Santos, but thats the only fight I could see happening, all the other options are just unfair to the fighters in my opinion

I would actually like to see Jon Jones versus a Heavyweight like JDS. Really curious how he would handle himself against a bigger, stronger opponent...

I doubt we'd see any Champ vs. Champ fights anytime soon. The only time those fights ever happen is when there seems to be a shortage of high profile fights in the near future. Especially after those fights, whoever loses usually fades into oblivion. I mean, how many people do you hear clamoring for BJ Penn anymore? Not saying he doesn't have fans, but his appeal has sunk ever since his loss to GSP and his move up to WW (though his numerous loses and poor performances haven't helped either).

See this is what I hate about Silva, he say's "no way I fight jon jones" he my friend.... blah blah blah but be happy to fight a MUCH smaller GSP. By the way Sonnen gonna expose "fruity boy" AGAIN. He gonna need that "jew git zoo" fighting from his back again. Chael please send this fake humble douche I "wanna fight my clone packing". Jon Jones needs to challenge HW if his destiny is to be Mr. wonderful, oh that's right that name is taken. JDS destroys bones.

I could just see JDS walk right through a spinning elbow go "what was that" then drop jones with a one two

i agree with this mostely..... we prob wont ever see a true champ vs champ. the losing champ will look bad, zuffa will prob only set this up if 1 champ fully moves up a division. we very likely wont see another penn vs gsp with penn still holding the lw belt. aldo fighting bendo means aldo is dropping the fw belt, gsp def wont be keeping the ww as he said he would need to put on more size so what would be the point of putting it on then back off. jones is dropping the title if his plan succeeds.... its just a bad business move to have a champ vs champ with the losing champ keeping the belt for his division, makes the division look weaker.
